Hi everyone:

Does anyone know if there's a place where future resort construction is listed? Or, does anyone know of specific resorts that will have work going on fall 2014? I know about the DVC/construction at the Polynesian, but how about at the Grand Floridian?

We're currently trying to figure out where we want to stay next year. We're planning this far in advance because we are budgeting and putting money away each month for the WDW portion, as well as our Disney Fantasy cruise portion.

At this point, as different as they may be, we're considering either the Grand Floridian or the Contemporary or the Art of Animation resort. :sunny:

We'd choose a monorail resort because we love the monorail option to TTC/Epcot; we'd choose the Art of Animation for the lower price as well as the theme.

We've ruled out moderate resorts because if we're not going to stay on the monorail, then we might as well stay at AoA.

We've never stayed at any of the Epcot resorts... we may consider those. :scratchin

So... does anyone know of construction going on next year at any of the following resorts:

Grand Floridian
Contemporary
Art of Animation
Beach Club
Yacht Club
Boardwalk

Thanks! :surfweb:

P.S. Ah heck, might as well add Wilderness Lodge and Animal Kingdom Lodge to that list as well. :lmao: I guess only the other values and the moderates are excluded at this point.

Thanks for all of the replies. :lmao:

Just kidding! :)

Anyway, DH and I discussed it last night and we've decided to stick with Polynesian CL. From what I understand, the Hawaii building is currently being refurbed, so it should be fine for us next year, no matter what else may be going on at the resort. ::yes::

Is there a list of which resorts will be getting refurbed?

No, you will know when Disney announces it, and when the building permits are taken out.

They do not release the info a year in advance and all at once; they take their time - they can afford to, they can still fill resorts.
