A local charity organization is having a consignment sale with a percentage of revnue to the charity and a portion to the seller. I thought it is a good cause so decided to get some stuff together. My problem:::how to price things? Is is like a rummage sale or a bit more?

Our town has a big consignment sale twice a year. Prices are all over the board, but definitely higher than garage sales. I'd say on average, prices are 25-50% of new retail. I never pay full retail for anything, though, so I usually pass right by the ones that are closer to 50%!:rotfl:

The one that I do--it it not charity related--suggests 40% of full retail value. So if you have a gymboree outfit that originally was $30 (even if you got it on sale for 15) you could, in theory, price it for $12. But our stuff has to be in near perfect condition.
