Considering we've never met, we know a lot about each other

I've been hangin' around here for a long time now, it's fun to get acquainted and discuss a variety of topics. Over time, I actually feel like I know a lot of folks here even though we've never met. I have this fantasy scenario where there's a big get together but rather than all the introductory small-talk that goes along with meeting someone new, we'd immediately have so much in common. You could jump right in to conversation like "Weren't those peanut butter Oreos fantastic?" "Man that layover in Miami nearly made you miss your cruise" "You won't like the breakfast buffet, the eggs are runny" "Did you finish washing your walls?" "How's your knee, I'm having that surgery next week"

That'd be weird, right?

Zoo locks are closing today and the largest freighter in Lake Superior will by coming into Duluth, MN for his two month layup. You guys would so know that's me...right?

It was kind of like that at the 2 dis 'conventions' back in 2001 and 2002. Great seeing people for the first time whom we already knew.

The North shore in MN is one of my favorite places. We try to go there for a long weekend at least once a year (we are about 5 hours away) and have so many great memories from there

Great seeing people for the first time whom we already knew.

Years ago I engaged with a Dis-er who was a CM parent and a DVC member. We sort of bonded on-line as we were new CM parents and new to DVC. When we met them the first time she greeted me with a hug and I said "So nice to see you again!" It was like we had known each other for a long time.

I‘ve had no time in my schedule for DIS Meets the last several years, but someday I would like to go to some again - the couple I did go to were a lot of fun

Oh…I have not finished washing walls
Yesterday was washing cabinets & bathroom vanities and then stripping out the fridge and deep cleaning that. Today I’m washing the kitchen walls. The fun just keeps on happening here

Posters may have repeatedly mentioned their spouses, kids, occupations, etc. and I might not remember.

But I’m likely to remember trivial stuff, such as if they do or don’t like runny eggs or how early they put up their Christmas trees.
