We got a pin code for % off DLR hotels. It seems like a great deal. We're considering Paradise Pier. My girls have only been to DLR once ( I used to live in Anaheim and DLR was my first Disney love :)). Can anyone tell me about the DLR hotels? We've stayed onsite at WDW 5 times, so I'm trying to compare (sort of). What are the perks to staying onsite, can we walk to the parks from the hotels? Any info would be awesome! TIA :goodvibes

My favorite perk is being able to use magic morning everyday that it is available. Also, not having to cross Harbor is always nice too.

We used to stay offsite all the time, but the last few trips to DLR we've stayed onsite and are addicted! PPH and DLH are slightly farther away from the park entrances than some of the closer hotels on Harbor Blvd, but we love the "Magical" feel of the onsite hotels, and the walk to/from the hotels to the parks aren't that bad. When staying at PPH, the fastest way to the parks is to leave through the front entrance, cross Disneyland Drive, and walk through the GCH (we love this walk and always enjoy the beauty of the GCH). As an onsite hotel guest, like PP said, you'll be able to take advantage of every Magic Morning, and be able to access DCA from the entrance at GCH. As far as comparison to WDW resorts, the standard rooms at PPH are quite large. They're slightly larger than AKL and WL standard rooms, have either 2 queen beds or 1 king bed, as well as a sofa/pull out sleeper. Out of the three onsite hotels, PPH is the family's favorite.

I echo this! I've stayed at GCH and DLH and IMO it is worth every penny! Have fun!

Thanks, another question--where can I find basic info about DLR & DCA? I'm sure it is available on the DIS somewhere, but, I can't quite figure it out. Thanks again :) Nevermind -- I found it.
