Considering Purchasing

Ok, My wife and I are thinking of looking into DVC also, it is only the 2 of us and recently enjoyed the BCV during F & W. We go to Disney almost once a year on a military discount rate, and worried this won't last forever. What are peoples thoughts on the DVC for just 2 adults? The time of year we like to go is either F & W or the begining of Dec. Any insite would be great!!

DVC can be a great choice, esp resale, for the right people and horrible for others. However, buying for future protection worrying that your current discounts may not last alone does not make sense. If your happy with what you're currently doing you might simply save for the future and buy later (will be less proportionally) when/if you need to.

We have been going to Disney for the past 11 yrs, first as a couple and now as a family with two kids. we just purchase this year for numerous reasons. we bought ssr 250 pts and paid cash. we went resale because we wanted more points and we knew it would take time. actually took 1.5 months from offer to close. not bad to save $85/pt

I am 95% confident we will buy SSR resale or OKW extended since we are 34 and 35. When looking resale is there a way to know if the OKW is the extended date?

Since you don't mind staying at SSR, I'd recommend buying the SSR resale for it's 2054 expiration as there will be a lot more SSR units available on the resale market than the 2057 expiration OKW units. If you have your heart set on the extended OKW, you'll likely have to wait longer to get the right size/price contract for you.
