Considering DVC - got my info package today and questions?

Just wanting to make sure I am understanding this right....
if we buy into the AKV DVC with the minimum 160 points (at $104/pt), the 10% downpayment is $1664, but they are also giving you back $8/pt..which is $1280..does that mean my downpayment will be $384 and I will also qualify for the $500 disney reward incentive if I put the downpayment on my Disney Visa card?

Do you know if you finance with them, is there a penalty for early prepayment?

I have not gone through the process But I have read so much about this that I can answer some while you wait for others to answer.

No they do not take th $8 off the downpayment. It comes off after that.

You can get the $500.00 visa downpayment incentive if done by November 30 and you had your card before September

And I do not believe there is any penalty for paying off early! Really nice of Disney.

I was told that you make your 10% down payment off of the full retail price and then Disney applies their $8 or $10 per pt after that.
