Will this be a hassle trying to switch?

For a standard view room, would there be any sections to try to avoid or request? We'd prefer something quiet.
Thanks!!!!

I just switched today from CSR to WL. I just love all the pictures of WL , we loved WCC and the looks of WL, and DH has always wanted to stay there. DS (10) and I made the change today while DH was gone and we are not going to tell him.

We stayed at POFQ Jan 2007 and it was great. Very pretty and quite because it is alot smaller than the other resorts we have stayed at. We loved it and would definitely stay again. DS likes to pick a new resort for each trip. I cant tell you if WL is better because I have not stayed there yet.

I would also like to know if there are certain areas we should request and if you can request a king bed. We are staying in a standard view room.

You have 2 options
1). Switch!! WL is gorgeous, relaxing, and fun with a great location and transportation. It would be easier for your dinner. Switching shouldn't be too much of a hassle as long as they have those dates avaiable.

2). Stay a POFQ and bring your extra money with you. Save the $$ for something else.. merchandise? Another nice dinner? Or just extra $$ in general.

Since you said this was your anniversary, I would go with option #1. Either way you will have a wonderful time!

If you can do it, switch! You'll love WL and the convenience to the MK and even the monorail is worth it. It's a gorgeous hotel and the pool is great.

I'm with the crowd on this one. If you have the extra money and it's your anniver. SWITCH. Take whatever standard they got and you'll be fine. The hotel is beautiful and you'll have a wonderful time.

It's your Anniversary and you have the extra money then upgrade to WL. I'm trying to decide the exact same resorts for our trip. But we need to save the money in our case.

Have to say...if the WL only has standard view rooms left, I don't think it would be worth it. I got stuck with a standard view over the loading dock/garbage cans/smokehouse. It was like entering the most gorgeous hotel (because it really is), and sleeping in the laundry room.

Now I have to say we could see the fireworks over at MK every night. And if you enjoy the smell of smoked meat with your fireworks, you're all set.

I'd decide based on where I have a better chance of getting a king bed. Not sure if you can figure that out or not, but I'd bet chances are better at POR. DH and I once did a split stay between WL and POR. We had double queens at WL and got a king bed at POR. As a result, the POR room seemed much more spacious. In the WL room with two beds, we had almost no room to move. We were constantly bumping into each other and we're small. They say the WL rooms are larger, but I can tell you the POR room with king bed felt much larger.
