Considering a BLT purchase

Will be traveling to BLT in October. Have taken the DVC tour a couple of years ago. My question is....if you purchase while you are staying there, do they "prorate" based on your staying there to check it out. Basically, would I be able to apply any of the money that I am spending during my week's visit, if I signed a contract during that trip?

Nope. Disney will not credit you any of the cost of your resort stay.

They used to several years ago, but DVC is popular enough now that they don't do it any more.

You can get a couple fast passes and some ice cream, though. I know, not what you're looking for...

You might want to *seriously* consider buying now and using your points in October to stay at BLT instead of paying cash (subject to availability in October, of course).

But, to answer your question, if you buy at WDW, you'll get a couple VIP FastPasses and an ice cream social, but nothing of monetary value (actually, I take that back: there have been reports of people receiving $15 gift cards instead of VIP FastPasses). Also, if you buy while at WDW, you will be a member by the time you walk out of the tour (and issued a temporary member ID card), so you can begin taking advantage of the DVC-offered discounts immediately.

To add to Crystal's post about buying now.

There are incentives going on now and there are rumors running that they are going away for BLT in June. Which would give you something to consider vs. waiting and not recieving any incentives.
