Have fun! What airline are you flying? We always fly JetBlue :thumbsup2

In the beginning of February I'm flying AirTran, but at the end (for my birthday "Party") we're flying Jet Blue, I've never flown JetBlue before, but it's cheaper, so what the hey!

And oh man! It is so FRIGGEN cold here today! So not fun. I've gotta head back out tonight for Church Choir rehersal too :( YUCK-O :cold: ...22 days...

Obama's inauguration set to be the most expensive in US history

The $150m (£102m) cost of the celebration will dwarf the amount spent on George Bush's inauguration in 2005

Yes, it will dwarf (hey they said it, I can say it) GWB's last by nearly 4 times.

Sounds like quite a party....

Not very "Lincoln-esque" though.....but very "spendy".

What a way to cut spending :thumbsup2

Salutations, greetings, and "hey there hi there ho there" my conservative friends!

It seems that I've been out of the DIS loop for a couple of weeks, but much has transpired...
- I had an absolutely phenomenal 4 days of learning and fun in Orlando, which I must find some time to explain some details about
- Dems hypocrisy level is now at "code orange" (Inauguration costs? Cabinet members employing illegals? What is this... W's third term!!?? :lmao: )
- My beloved Carolina Panthers laid a giant egg
- I booked a family WDW vacation for May using the "buy 4/get 7" incentive. We'll be staying at POFQ, which I know zero about but I'm sure it'll be great. :goodvibes

I  love  POFQ. It's one of my favorites. We were just there in October. Good choice :woohoo:

And those bineigts (I know it's spelled wrong, sorry) look delicious, but they look like the Cafe Du Monde ones. Not Disney's. Apparently they taste rather similar. My Mom's had both and she says they're close, but the ones in the pictures are definitely not Disney's. (I think it's scary I know that :rolleyes1 )

My daughter and I got the recipe from another site several years ago and made them. It was the first and last time. Some things are just better when somebody else puts all that effort into them, and you can just enjoy the fresh and warm results of their hard work.

I have to agree with this. My DH was in NO last year and brought home a boxed beignet mix. It just wasn't the same. Although my Italian grandmother use to fry dough and sprinkle powdered sugar on it, and that was really good. She just used basic pizza dough, cut it into strips and fried till golden brown. Hmm, maybe I'll try that one day soon since I won't be going to WDW for awhile.

You'd better be careful, SM, or somebody might take that little sentiment out of context. :rolleyes1

:rotfl:

This may be a better likeness....

Ok, I was out most of the day shopping so I have a lot of post quoting to do (bought my mom a DVD and bought me An Inconvenient Book in book form- shhh, don't tell my mom, she said not to spend any more money on things other than gas).

Last I saw, they were still going on about hot dogs. It's all a big joke to them.

Pathetic.:sad2: Shows how little respect they have for religion.

The econmoy supposedly sucks but we can afford THIS??:sad2:

I'm worried about is if these people will be able to eat. It will be okay though. I'm sure there will be a young boy with a small bag of sandwiches, and Obama will use it to feed the whole crowd. Come to think of it, I'm surprised he hasn't miraculously multiplied all of the guards and barriers needed for this event.

:lmao: Well, he DID say that contrary to popular belief, he wasn't born in a manger..... not so sure about that the way he's treated, but whatev....

I love Rush Limbaugh!!!:lovestruc Sean Hannity too:love: Listen to them every chance I get. Just felt the need to say that, LOL.

I do too but.....:rolleyes1 I love Glenn a whole lot more!!

YAYYYY!!!! Zip, you're going to WDW!!!!! I better see you while you're there!!!!

Now you don't have to hide when you're with him in public! :)
:rolleyes1 :rolleyes1

I'm going to puke. There was just a very loud commercial that said
1.20.09 in huge letters and had bho's voice yapping something about hope and change and french fries and donkey hair and pine-less pine trees and vampire bats.

Look at this CRAP I found. :headache: What is wrong with people?!

I apologize in advance for posting this.

to the first one. to the second one!!! Speaking of Reagan, I gave my presentation today in my honors class about his inaugural speech. Everyone really enjoyed it.

This is more like it:

Yuuummmm!!! Thanks Breezy!!!

I'm not staying at POFQ, but we are going to tour the resorts. What is a beignets? Sounds yummy...

So, you can walk to PO Riverside, and take a boat to DTD? Can you go the reverse? Sounds so nice...

POFQ is my fav mod to stay at. Yes, you can walk to Riverside or you can take a boat. Water taxis run between both resorts and DTD.

Another, although a bit late, to sing the beignet praise. They are good - but if you're like me; messy. I was embarrassed over how much powdered sugar wound up on the table one morning. I cleaned up before I left.

I was surprised at myself the one morning we got them. I managed to not get one spot of sugar on me at all! And I was wearing a black shirt!:cool2:

My favorite variety of fried dough has got to be the funnel cake. But then again, I'm a good PA Dutch girl :goodvibes

Did I hear the words FUNNEL CAKE?? :faint:

OMG I love those things!!! Our school used to sell them for fundraisers- they disappeared in a hurry!!!

I get powered sugar everywhere everytime I eat it. But I get spaghetti sauce on me everytime I eat it, too. :confused3 I'm just a little messy, I guess, and having a large "shelf" doesn't help!

Don't worry, I'm the exact same way. How I manage to make so many crumbs is beyond me....:confused3

I know. Maybe we're messy because we're wasteful evil fear-mongering cons, huh?
It wastes food and ruins my clothes. *sigh*

We're supposed to go to LJS tonight. Keeping my fingers crossed!

:lmao:

Maybe so. I'm the queen of getting ketchup on me, of all the things that can be spilled.:headache:

Though nothing beats the pen exploding in the pocket of the North Face jacket....:rolleyes1 I still haven't picked that coat from the cleaners...

Oh, I've spilled and squirted ketchup (or is it catsup?) on me plenty of times.
As for pens in pockets, I accidentally washed a Sharpie in the wash and put it in the dryer. :rolleyes1 It didn't leak, though, so whew!

If I did that, the Sharpie would have exploded like the atomic bomb and ruined the entire load of laundry....:rolleyes1 My luck sucks like that.
