Yo, is everybody decent?? Sit up straight and at least run a comb through your hair. Do I have anything in my teeth?? Our humble home is about to get a bunch of views. :teeth:

yeah, um...there is a little bit of something on the lower right...stuck between the two teeth.

I've been looking at menus at the different resorts, etc., and it seems most of them have ice cream or something for the kids. I thought that might entice them to look around the resorts with me.

That entices me to go with you too.:lmao:

Ok guys I'm out for the night. Catch y'all tomorrow!!

:grouphug:

Okay, guys, I'm out of computer range for a couple of days and y'all add forty pages?!?!?!!? Gee whiz!

To sum things up...to all you cons out there - sure, what you said...

To all you lib lurkers/occasional posters out there - sure, what they[the cons] said...

I'll catch up tomorrow...gotta go to bed now. I'll meet the guests tomorrow, when I'm a little more formally attired [like in my jammies that have the feet in them - I save those as Sunday best :teeth:]

Well, their flight was cleared weather wise, but now they have mechanical problems, so they are flying a mechanic out from Anchorage. I may be up until the wee hours of the morning to pick him up.

Who do you want to be the head of the RNC?

I would like to see Saul Anuzis as the head of the RNC. I like Michael Steel but if he's the head of the RNC, he won't be able to run for office and I would like to see him in the Senate or another high government position.

I have no idea who Saul Anuzis is. I need to become current on potential candidates. I like Michael Steel. About a month ago, or so, he substituted hosted for one of the conservative radio talk show hosts that I occasionally listen to.

I can offer baked goods but I'd have to offer you, depending on what our relationship is, one of two things:
1) antacid or
2) an antidote. :teeth:
I don't bake well. :rotfl:

As for radical Christians being as dangerous as radical muslims...Christians don't behead or blow up people. Or fly planes into buildings. :rolleyes1

But we also have our share of whack jobs, who blow up abortion clinics or kill abortion doctors and jufges.
I belive all forms of religion can have their share of nut cases.

True. I think the difference lies in the widespread condemnation by Christians of such acts on behalf of their faith. One sees little of that from moderate Muslims.

i really like por...the first time i went to wdw, i stayed at dixie landings which is now part of por, and in april 2007 i stayed in the french quarter. i think i like the first one the best (what's it called now, magnolia bend?).

the restaurant there...boatwright's is wonderful (cinnamon french toast made with baguettes!), and the restaurant which is no longer there (bonfamille's) was divine.

anyway, the grounds are beautiful and i love walking over the bridges and watching the ducklings trying to keep up with mom.

i think SD said she had a horrible experience there so she doesn't like it, but everybody else i've spoken to seems to really like it.

where is SD?

We've stayed at POFQ and wandered over to POR one evening for dinner at Boatwright's. It is, as you say, just beautiful, especially at night. Very lush and resort-like with all of the soft lighting. We really enjoyed the restaurant, though I see on the restaurants board that many people do not. All the better as it wasn't crowded.

I love the intimate feeling at the French Quarter.:goodvibes Plus they have those yummy beignets.:thumbsup2

Yup, those were quite tasty. My kids still talk about them "Mom, can you make some of those?" Ummm, no. No I can't. :rotfl:

I loved Riverside but would love to try French Quarter.:thumbsup2 I'm definitely going to both while I'm down there.... I'm actually thinking I'd rather try to get a job at POR instead of Epcot. I talked to a girl who did the CP at POR and said it was wonderful working there. So I'm thinking I might attempt to get a job there instead....:)

As I said, we stayed at POFQ and really liked it, but last trip we stayed at Coronado Springs and…BAM! That place is so beautiful and so much more "resort-y." We fell in love with it. Now that they've gone to all queen sized beds — but it's still a moderate — that's going to be our preferred resort from now on.

I would think a job at a resort would be preferable for the parking situation, no? And to avoid the crowds. So you get to pick your location? Explain how it all works. popcorn::

Saul the Michigan Republican Chairman. He is one of the top runners for the position. Here's his site:

I may be partial because I've met him. ;) He's a really nice guy and seems to be a good family man.

riverside, that's it...i cannot get "dixie landings" out of my head. anyway, i loved it. i have had breakfast (lots), lunch, and dinner at the boatwrights and it was always delicious. they had a vegetarian pasta on the dinner menu that was better than most others i've had, and they let you tell them what goes in your sauce. and the breakfast...it won't hurt to mention again the cinnamon french toast made with baguettes, but they also had sweet potato pancakes to die for! it has been consistently good, so i'm sure it'll stay on my list of dining choices.
