Even if you can't get down for the 10 day trip and only a 5 day, the AP's would make sense. It's just a matter of being sure that it's in the same year. Maybe I'm stingy, but I have a hard time justifying $600 for "what if..."

That being said, I've found lots of excuses for going to Disney this year...

It helps when my parents live within an hour :goodvibes

Exactly...that's the gamble. Coming from Alaska, airfare is always the biggest hurdle. "If" there were frequent flyer seats available, we have enough miles for free tickets. That's the big "if." Then the trip would be pretty cheap (just hotel and spending $$)

i call that a$300 savings!!!! :yay: ('cause you'll go if you can, and ya just never know what might come up!)

I know...that's what I want to do, just not sure if I should.:confused3

i'm addicted to welch's grape juice.

(felt like i should confess to somebody. )
I knooowww!!!! ME TOO!!!! I love it love it LOVE IT!!
They used to have the cutest commercials.:goodvibes
Remember that little girl that was on those commercials for like forever (the one with the really short dark hair?)? That girl looked exactly like my sister at that age. It was spooky!

Good points...

10-day hoppers are $305.66. AP's are $499.49. So that is where I get the 'about' $200 extra per kid (3 kids). So, if I didn't get the AP's, and ended up going back in Jan. 2010, then it would cost me $900 for the 3 kids' 10-day hoppers again....or $600 extra this trip if I did get the AP's. So...a $300 difference.

Does that make sense?
Yes it does make sense and I say....

GO FOR IT!!!! :woohoo:  :woohoo:

it has to be difficult when you're thinking about four aps total. i always think first, and then ending up with ap, 'cause every year that i've gotten one, i've ended up going back at least once in the year.

on that note, my dad found some things he saved from the trip we took in 1997, including his premium pass. we bought one for each of us and the TOTAL was under $600. for TWO!!! things sure have changed...

YAYE! POR looks very nice.

i really like por...the first time i went to wdw, i stayed at dixie landings which is now part of por, and in april 2007 i stayed in the french quarter. i think i like the first one the best (what's it called now, magnolia bend?).

the restaurant there...boatwright's is wonderful (cinnamon french toast made with baguettes!), and the restaurant which is no longer there (bonfamille's) was divine.

anyway, the grounds are beautiful and i love walking over the bridges and watching the ducklings trying to keep up with mom.

i think SD said she had a horrible experience there so she doesn't like it, but everybody else i've spoken to seems to really like it.

where is SD?

I love the intimate feeling at the French Quarter.:goodvibes Plus they have those yummy beignets.:thumbsup2

I loved Riverside but would love to try French Quarter.:thumbsup2 I'm definitely going to both while I'm down there.... I'm actually thinking I'd rather try to get a job at POR instead of Epcot. I talked to a girl who did the CP at POR and said it was wonderful working there. So I'm thinking I might attempt to get a job there instead....:)

POR looks really pretty. Right now I've got to stick with Values (too many kids!) but someday I'd like to try the other Disney resorts.

Yeah, we barely bit in our room (five of us total). I slept on the trundle bed and got a horrible backache the next day. So I switched to the air bed we brought and that was muuuuch better.:goodvibes

Since we're there for such a long time (2 weeks) I'd like to take some time and explore the other resorts. I never have.

I've been looking at menus at the different resorts, etc., and it seems most of them have ice cream or something for the kids. I thought that might entice them to look around the resorts with me.

Yo, is everybody decent?? Sit up straight and at least run a comb through your hair. Do I have anything in my teeth?? Our humble home is about to get a bunch of views. :teeth:

on my trips i always make a point to visit each and every resort. i love to see everything, see if anything has changed, check all the menus...they're all so beautiful.

Definitely go to POR and the Grand Floridian.:goodvibes

i agree. i also love wilderness lodge and animal kingdom lodge.
