Well, so far we've been able to avoid political talk...except this afternoon. My brother and I got into a 'discussion' about gun control. We were talking about the Virginia Tech shootings. My brother got mad, and went into another room, and locked the door. About 1/2 hour later, I got a message in my email with lots of links to articles to about gun control.

Well, H has been very good to the gun industry so far. I saw it with my own eyes yesterday. Went to a gun show and hadn't seen a crowd like that in years (and this wasn't the biggest show in the city either). People everywhere were talking about what H might do. I saw people buying ammunition by the case and saw more than one person literally filling backpacks with as much ammo as they could hold.

One dealer had four people working the phones doing background checks, with a person at each one, eight more people waiting in chairs to be called forward for their checks, and even more people standing in line waiting for a seat. This guy was smart enough to have chairs for his customers. Other dealers simply had long lines at their tables.

Isn't it amazing how they claim to know our feelings on a minute by minute basis? I'm not crying in my cheerios, I'm not in denial, I'm not delusional. I do wish they'd stop calling us names. Not because it bothers me as much as it brings down the manners IQ of the DIS when they continue to do such a thing.

The right to bear arms — for sport, but most importantly for personal defense against criminals AND against potential government tyranny — is so fundamental to a free society that I really can't understand why anti-gun folks don't see that. Why do they never ask themselves: Why do so many politicians want to take guns away from their citizens? What's in it for them?

I guess I don't have a problem with Libs posting here if they are not causing . Granted I did not read the specific posts mentioned as of late, but if it was all good, go for it.
