I usually become a tea-totaler the second half of December, but if a little toddy is in order for someone else... that's cool

However, a little eggnog or Christmas cookie will put a smile on anyone's face, even a lib.

I hear ya. Mine have been cooped up in the house together for a week now, and they are DONE with each other...and I'm about done with both of them. They go outside and play for awhile, but we don't have the clothing or the tolerance for this weather so it doesn't last very long. And of course my son had to cause a total meltdown the other day by throwing one of my daughter's NEW Pet Shop toys (they have Pet Shop advent calendars) off the deck and into the snow covered shrubs. Yeah...we won't be seeing that one again any time soon, if ever.

I am much happier right now, though. I got ahold of my ex, and he can't bring me a snow shovel because he doesn't own one and everyone in town is sold out (there's a surprise...). BUT. He has a truck with 4wd and a heavy tool box in the back, so he is driving anywhere he wants to drive, and he will come over and go up and down my driveway a few times to make tracks for me to get out if I really need to, and he will go pick up my mail for me. I gripe about him sometimes, but he really is a pretty good guy.

I am much happier right now, though. I got ahold of my ex, and he can't bring me a snow shovel because he doesn't own one and everyone in town is sold out (there's a surprise...). BUT. I finished all my work.....hours ago. I've wandered all over different floors taking food to various people, doing projects for other people, walked mail down to the mailroom, you name it, I've tried to find it to do. I even washed dishes in the breakroom I've been so bored.

And regarding the Obama-Blago photo, ahem, Mr. President Elect and his crack team of investigators have already completed a rigorous investigation of, ummm, themselves in that corruption, and according to their Christmas Eve document drop (you know, when no one would be looking?), they have cleared themselves completely of any wrong doing. Whew! That's a relief.

I'm intrigued by Rahm's certainty that he'll be wanting to bail on The One in just 2 years. I think he's seeing some writing on the wall after a few conversations with his new boss ("ummmm…ahhhhhh…how did I get here?…ummm…ahhhh) and he figures they'll be jumpin' like rats from the Titanic buy 2010. Me thinks Rahm thinks it's gonna be a disaster…

Hi all. I have a few minutes to pop in and wish everyone a Merry Christmas. Still have some wrapping to do, and cookies to bake.

Thanks for the prayers for my family member. They should know one set of results by Monday. However, they couldn't get the machine to work to take the biopsy of the second area because it was so small. So, now she has to go to a surgeon and have the whole thing removed in outpatient surgery just to be able to figure out what it is.

BUT... I think y'all's prayers are really working. I believe in the power of prayer, and this whole thing has made me believe moreso in it. The second area when they found it in the first tests 2 weeks ago was located very deep in tissue and at an angle that would be harder to get to. Well, since then (and since I've been hounding y'all for prayers), when they did an X-Ray again yesterday, it was the same size and shape, but the thing had seemingly grown legs and gotten up and moved closer to the surface of the skin and to an area that's easier to get to. No one in radiology could figure it out; they were stunned but very pleased. So continued prayers are appreciated. God Bless you all. You have been such a help to us and to me.

Needless to say I am not really in the Christmas mood, but trying to put a smile on my face nonetheless.

You're dad's been driving all night after working all day and now he's going to go to AK? He'll be asleep on EE.

Just popping in to say Merry Christmas!

I saw this today about how Christmas lights are hurting the environment. I had a similar talk with my son a couple of days ago, how I bet our Government will regulate our Christmas lights in order to stop global warming.

I think I will put out a couple extra spot lights to increase my carbon footprint.

To them I say: Buzz off.

Oh, and Merry Christmas to them too. Since the holiday seems to annoy so many of them in the first place.
