I do not but maybe I should just so I can hit ignore! :rotfl:

TL, I've only seen Bridezillas on clips on The Soup (yes, I love the snarkiness on that show) but if you referred to her as such...wow.
So when is your DD getting married?

The wedding is in June. She's the youngest of four and quite the little Diva! DH has spoiled her rotten....of course, I had nothing to do with it:rolleyes1 I've never seen Bridezillas....I just know, with DD, everything MUST be perfect!! UGH!! She is a little bit of a perfectionist.....that is an understatment.

I didn't really have a wedding so if my future-born DD wants hers to be perfect I guess I won't blame her.
None of this bridezilla nonsense, though.

It's snowing here again, too, Michelle. DH says about an inch has already stuck. It's almost as if God is going "Global warming? Indeed. Let me show ya somethin' ". Because God talks like Fire Marshall Bill. LOL

DH and I were married in his parents house...immediate family. I know, this is why we want her to have what she wants but, the wedding jitters are getting the best of her. She wants to plan EVERYTHING but, with a destination wedding...we have a wedding planner. The control freak in her doesn't want to give over the details to ANYBODY. There's just more than she can do by herself.

My one son starts back tomorrow and he is walking around the house saying "Do i really have to go back to school"...like I'm going to say "No Micahel you can just stay home forever"......NOT.....

That is EXACTLY what I have been doing (and I'm the teacher!) :lmao:

Looks like about two inches on my deck railing so far. Grrrrrr.
sorry if I upset you that was not my intention :flower3:
I never said I support anyone, least of all Al Gore :rotfl2: all I said was that through out the worlds history our temperatures have changed. As the Ice Age was a change. As for Al Gore I pay him no mind. But I do believe that the Earth is warming. I dont feel that it is due to people causing it.

And even if it is bogus..... if it gets people to stop polluting our waters and our air and start respecting the planet we live on it will be a much nicer place for us who walk on this Earth and the ones that live in the sea.

I for one left LA because the pollution was so nasty. I would go to work in the AM and look out at the hospital windows at the mountains that were in a dirty sky but could see them and by 3pm they were no longer to be seen because the pollution was sooooo bad. I could no longer jog every day because I would start coughing...

So if this so called warming helps clean up the Sky's I for one am all for it.

Can you not tell me that you would not like for people that dump there car oil in the sewers and the chemicals that people rinse into the sewers and all the countries like Mexico, that use there rivers as there plumbing in there houses as there toilets that wash into the Oceans to stop...:confused3

You may not believe in global warming and that is cool....but you cant say that cleaning up this planet is not needed....can you :confused3

Al Gore is an extremist ....there are scientists that say it is and scientists that say it is not.....I do believe there is a change. We have seen it in the storms, the rain the snow. I think something is going on with this planet...after all it is old.....does it have to be called global warming ...nope ....call it what you may.
I'm not upset…this is just a hot button issue for me because it involves the indoctrination of children on a wide scale into a "religion" that allows no dissent whatsoever. I am a high school teacher, and I have seen brainwashed teenagers tell other teenagers that they're "Nazis" because they don't believe in Al Gore's global warming hysteria. Gosh, I've even seen Jewish kids called "Nazis" for dissenting on this issue! Al Gore's film was shown in my children's schools for at least 4 years in a row — in science class, social studies, English, you name it; and it was presented as the absolute final word of FACT on this issue. I have never seen such a chilling, well-orchestrated propaganda effort aimed at children, and it made me really, really sick to see. What will be next?

The earth heats up; the earth cools down. That's what it does. That's what it's always done — and it's pure hubris to think we cause it, or to believe we can alter it. Now pollution is something quite different. Yes, we can and should have reasonable regulations to limit air and water pollution and seek alternative forms of energy. Make no mistake about it, however, there is nothing at all "reasonable" in anything Al Gore and his fellow flat earthers want to do. His aim is control over major economies and industries, and limits on individual freedom in favor of "the state." If he believed one word of his global warming hysteria, he wouldn't be living in a home that sucks more energy than all the other homes in his county combined. Oh, and I believe he's also insane…but that's for another discussion. :rotfl:

Amen to all of that. Particularly the last. :rotfl2:

And I'm the opposite. I don't want them going back to school. I like them home on vacation. I miss them when they are gone - tomorrow will be a hard day for me. I don't go around moping that they aren't here, but it's hard for me to get back on a schedule.
:lmao:

Send it here. I want a snow day tomorrow.

Well it looks like the "Planet Healer's" efforts to "reboot" our image in other nations may be off to a rocky start before its even started. In Jakarta, he's already being blamed in the all-important "Muslim street" for the IDF offensive against Hamas:

Looks like the Left's conventional wisdom that Bush is the real problem might be taking on some water. In case you don't recognize them, that's Egyptian President Mubarak and Israeli PM Olmert that O's palling around with. I also agree with Powerline, that the inclusion of the cigarette is a nice touch!

Ooh, where's the destination wedding?

Does anyone know where to get Mickey Mouse Clubhouse birthday party stuff? Or just Mickey birthday party stuff? DS's 1st birthday is the 24th :scared1: and I need to start getting stuff ready.

Edited to add: Why does the whole world think Israel has no right to defend herself? Is she just supposed to roll over and take it up the butt because the muslims decide they have a right to the land God gave Israel?

Wow. I gotta say, bravo. You hit the nail on the head. We need to be more green, but not because disaster is coming. It's because it's the right thing to do.

The problem is that the only way we're going to really save the planet is if we limit our consumption, and I doubt that's ever going to happen.

By the way, I want to volunteer to play this new Obama song on the guitar and record it on my computer. All I need is more lyrics.

It just goes to show that it's America they hate, not Bush. I hope this injects some realism into America. WE need to make the change, not Obama.

Ha, Geoff -- when you said the left's theory taking on water, I mixed up my metaphors and thought you meant it was good that they blame GWB for everything...whew! Now I get it...

And welcome back everyone! As one who spent her entire holiday at home and at work and on the DIS [now I'm not complaining - I let others take time off, I could have done this, too - besides, I'm planning for Disney!], I'm happy to see our other cons back safe and sound.:grouphug:

My theory is that they think Israel is being excessive, and I can see their point. Then again, they're wrong. Israel is well within it's right. Are they going a little far? Maybe. But they still do not deserve all of this scrutiny. The terrorists should be chastised even more. The facts are that they attacked first, and Israel used this as justification to go after Hamas.

Birthdaydirect.com has a good selection of MM Clubhouse, party supplies.

....and I don't think Israel is going to bend over for anybody. She isn't going to seek permission to defend herself.

Debbie it was nice of you to keep things going here!

We enjoyed some nice warming here in MO over the weekend. It was so nice yesterday we actually took the boat out on the lake. (I did have both a sweatshirt and jacket but) that is NOT the norm here in Jan. It sure was a nice winter break. I think it is about 30 now so that little warm front has moved on!

Tuscany Wow. That is nice. A lot to plan though.

I have said all along the libs have no idea how all the lofty ideals they preach are about to fall. It is all so easy when you are not really in charge.

I've never understood the criticism of Israel's "disproportionate" response. I mean, who writes the rules about the limits of what Country A can do to Country B based on what B does to A to start with? The nature of armed conflict isn't supposed to be a tit-for-tat back and forth. The normal state of things is that Country B's response will be sufficiently harsh so that Country A will stop doing what it was doing in the first place.

probably because israel is oficially the "state of israel" and was united nations-given. it is the nation state for jews. in the hebrew bible the "land of israel" was God given. arab neighbors, based on boundary, religion, and the mere right for the state of israel to exist, has been the cause of dispute and wars ever since partition. because it was palestine which was divided in order to create the region known as the state of israel (later the country), they are particularly unhappy about the situation. that and that israel has tested and moved the boundaries along with declaring their independence, continues to cause conflict.
