Conservative Thread: The New American Tea Party

I went to the Eric Holder confirmation hearing, and Code Pink was present in the audience. They were also all over in Union Station when the Obama Excess pulled in the weekend before the Inauguration (I saw CNN was at Union Station, across the street from where I live, so I went and stood in the background to get on tv!). They are an unkempt group, and I would not put it past them or any of the other protesting nuts to think that topless = making a point. It is like the group that "hoola-hooped for peace" at the DNC in Denver!

The CP got evicted from Hil's office, so they took the girls outside to air off... Well, let's just say, some bodies are beautiful and then, on the other end of the spectrum, you had the CP women...

A little question and maybe an answer from someone to get me up to speed.

Before the election, all I read from the haters was how Bush had spent this country into the poorhouse and the argument for voting for Obama was that we couldn't afford more Bush policies of incurring debt to be passed onto our children. Hmmmmm -I'm just sitting her scratching my head now trying to figure out that logic.

That was not a good move. Too often some conservatives have been 'duped' (John McCain anyone?) into thinking that we need to sacrifice our principles in order to "reach across the aisle and get along". Sucking up to the other side will just empower them to believe that the direction they want to lead the country in, is right. I wonder if Steele actually listened to the speech or is in the "Limbaugh is wrong" mode. Its disappointing.

BTW Tink, did you see the story on Brown and Obama pushing for Global economy.....I think I may need to brush up on Daniel and Revelations. :scared1: :scared1: :scared1:

I saw that this weekend on Drudge.

::yes:: I think Rush even mentioned something to that effect (a warning if I'm not mistaken) in his speech.

I don't think it's a bad thing for Steele to say that Limbaugh is an entertainer. Because. he. is.

It's why I've found that the left is going after Limbaugh absolutely ridiculous. Honestly...he's a talk show host. Not an elected member of Congress. If the liberals want to really be serious, perhaps they should go after people like Steele and what he has to say. The problem is that right now, the liberals aren't taking conservatives seriously. In part because they believe that our party is being led by a talk show host. So the RNC chairman has now said, um, no guys, he's an entertainer. Our party is being led by us. It challenges the Dems. I say good.

About friggen time.

I read that article this am too -- had the same thoughts. :scared1:

New thread! Tell me, is anyone else other than myself and husband seriously wondering if the Republican party can be revived? Sometimes I feel like the politics (among republicans) always return to the awful democrats and the wonderful republicans. It seems like (well a while back, I sort of gave up after a while) many are interested in the republicans winning, regardless of whether or not they very much resemble democrats. That last bill proved that the republicans are for the most part, only interested in staying in power.

I for one, am so fed up with the party that the next election I will not hold my nose for a republican for fear of my vote being wasted if I didn't. I will vote for the candidate that I feel will do the best job (and hopefully they will actually be on the ticket).

So, if you are fed up with your party, what are you doing? I have written to our state senators and will also write to congress. I am hoping that rallies (Tea Party!) will start taking place. I hope that the leaders that are in office now will get the clear message that the old days are gone and we are fed up. I tell everyone I can about the pork in the last 2 bills and the different issues that many are not aware of.

Any other suggestions?
