Anyone with connections vouchers to sell, I would love to take you up on it. We can't purchase them from Canada and would also love to try the Kitchen Sink! Thanks so much to everyone. Can be reached at peels@shaw.ca

I would make sure someone with the newer vouchers can has used them for the kitchen sinks. Our last trip there, they told us the new vouchers will not allow the KS. Who knows if it is true, but if so, then you wouldn't want to get them if you want the KS. Also, if you go on a Disney club tour (a couple of hours) on a weekday, you get a free voucher for each person in your party.

I will check that. Also, because we are from Alberta, Canada we cannot go on the DVC tour, as we are not allowed to buy into DVC so we can't go on the tour! I am really hoping for some breakfast vouchers too as we are planning on doing at least a couple.

Sure you can go on the DVC tour and buy DVC too. If you buy, you can only buy in Florida, not when you get back home to Canada. The only way you can buy DVC while in Canada is when you buy a resale. I bought a DVC resale at the Boardwalk in 1999 when I lived in Manitoba. I will be taking my fifth trip to WDW at the end of January (fourth using DVC points). The best thing is my DVC is now paid for and all I have is maintenance fees to pay for my vacations!;)

Thanks for the advice. When I checked them out online, I was told that DVC was no allowed to operate in Alberta, so I assumed they would not let us take the tour.

I am in the process of buying a resale from a couple in Ontario. They are the original owners.

You can still get the Kitchen Sink with your vouchers! We did on December 14th. The waitress actually encouraged us to do so, although we used two vouchers, and she didn't offer us a 2nd dessert for the second voucher. There were five of us - and we left over half of it, although we did put a good dent in it! It was great fun, and my youngest loved the fanfare that goes along with it!!

i have one of the quick and casuals left if interested....let me know:):)

Thanks to all - due to the wonderful crew who visit this website I have managed to get what I needed. Kitchen sink and Chef Mickeys breakfast here we come!

Guess I have not 'heard it all' yet. Someone care to take a moment and write what the Kitchen Sink is? We will be at WDW in early Feb and sounds like something my DH would LOVE to have.

Here's the description from this website:

"The Famous" Kitchen Sink - Two scoops each of vanilla, chocolate, strawberry and our flavor of the month, smothered in every topping we have - $21.95

Have not had it myself but everyone seems to rave about it. Will have to try it sometime too.

What are Connection Vouchers? What is Connections?

The easiest way to explain them is to direct you to:
www.mousesavers.com
This is a great 'sister' website to DIS and there is a whole section which explains Connections (now part of the Deal Pass group) which is a 'membership' you join and are then able to by the vouchers (like the ones Disney gives out in their packages) to use at WDW. Really, they are best explained by Mary Waring at the above website. Check it out and see if it is worth it to you. a 30 day 'trial' membership costs $1 - after that they charge you something like $80 per year. But you can cancel within the first 30 days (even if you have already gone on-line and bought voucher - I called and asked!). -Have a good WDW trip!:jester:

There's a picture of the kitchen sink in DMRick's post.

Here's a picture of the Kitchen Sink we got at Beaches and Cream on Dec 14th. There are eight scoops of ice cream - 2 each of chocolate, vanilla, and strawberry and one each of coffee and mint chip, I think. There are brownies, and bananas in it, as well as some of every topping they offer. It is topped with an entire can of whipped cream and a jar of cherries. It is served in a dish shaped like a Kitchen Sink, complete with faucet, and when the serve it, they do a little ceremony. It is great fun!

And we really can use a Quick & Casual voucher to get this???? Whoopi!

Yep - and a full meal to boot - they even let you get floats, shakes or smoothies as the drink with your voucher too.

With 1 voucher we got

Root Beer Float 3.99
Double Cheeseburger w/fries 8.99
Kitchen Sink 21.99

Total before taxes and tip 34.97
6% Tax 2.10
Gratuity 15% 5.25

Total $ Value Ordered 42.32, and we paid $11, saving 31.32!

We did, however, leave an extra tip, as the waitress was excellent.

I went there by myself, and I think I was told the only thing I couldn't order was the kitchen sink - since it's supposedly a "two-person dessert." So if you've got a couple of people, I'm guessing it's a go. :)

(Let me add that I was not even CONSIDERING ordering one for myself after a meal - big as I am, I couldn't do it!) :)
