CONNECTIONS VOUCHERS...i don't understand

I need help. I'm not sure how these work or if they will be worth if for DH and I next year when we go. I was just going to do the Discovery Magic Package as we're only go to be there for 5 days and 4 nights. How do these vouchers work? If I were going to Hollywood Brown Derby for dinner, how would we use these? Someone please help me, I want to save on this trip, but I don't want DH and I hungry. We both agreed that we'd like to do one nice sit down meal a day.

The Connections Quick and Casual vouchers cost $11 and can be used any time at most counter service restaurants in the theme parks and at the resorts. There are also $29.50 vouchers for lunch at full-service restaurants. You could use them at the Brown Derby for lunch but not for dinner. Thanks Nancy. I guess no one else has any info. I've looked over Mousesavers.com and I just think the Discovery Magic Package will be the best for DH and I.

There are no Connections vouchers available for formal dinner dining. Q and C's are your only option for dinner dining. Why not get the lunch vouchers and book your PS's for the latest lunch seating? It would certainly be more economical that the Discovery Magic Package.

Most of us here don't use food package plans or food vouchers.

Have you looked at the menus on deb will's website www.wdwig.com?

You will have more fun looking at the menus at home befor you go, deciding on which restaurant you want to eat at and bringing your own money along than worrying about food plans, etc.

If you are egoing in the summer, remember Florida is HOT and appeitites dwindle in the heat.

You will have a great time at the parks no matter where you eat!

For the connections vouchers.

You can do the lastest lunch seating for the lunches.. its prepaid plus tip (although some do leave more $ for tip)

If you like the idea of prepaid, that would work for you.

I have so many others say that the meal plan wasn't worth it, and they LOST money...


Or you can just plan to pay cash, maybe start saving some money each month in a separate account. Then I have heard some move that cash to travelers checks, or a debit card or credit card account (starting with money in it, but no charges, does that make sense)... so its prepaid.

We went on a trip in August. (Just DH and I) and we weren't hungry much at all. We mostly ate light.

Also don't forget about all the amazing food options off site Disney as well.

Just returned from a 5 day stay at POR.

Used connections 11.00 vouchers (bought second hand for 10.00) twice at Beaches and Cream.

First meal was 54.00 actual cost (20.00)
Second Meal was 86.00 actual cost (20.00)

I'm not sure the CM knew what he was doing the second meal I figured I was on the hook for about 30.00 but he said no the vouchers covered everything.

Both meals were shared with 3 kids (14, 8, 5) and we took doggie bags home both times.

I joined Connections last fall and purchased 6 Q&C vouchers - all used at Beaches and Cream. I have since purchased unused Q&C vouchers twice from other DISers. While I wouldn't use vouchers for all my meals - they do help with the budget. I only wonder how much longer Beaches and Cream will be accepting the vouchers, because they are losing money on them!

Your best bet with Connections vouchers is to plan, go to wdwig.com and check to see where you'd get the most value, there were times that we didn't use the vouchers because the food was cheaper than the 10.00 (now I think they are 11.00) that we paid....so careful planning will help...Beaches and Cream is an excellent place to use them
