I know that a lot of us sign up for these programs for the points that they offer on various rewards sites. They are all run by the same company, MembershipMe and its parent MemberWorks Inc.

I'm linking to a thread on the Budget Board. Mary Waring from MouseSavers has pulled all references to Connections from her website and she posted her reasons. It's very interesting reading.

Thanks Mad4TheMouse! Double billing is one of the biggest problems with Connections, so I can certainly understand! I was a member of Connections, once, and it was for about a year. I never had a problem with them until it came time to renew. I wanted to get out of the program, I just didn't use it as much as I thought I would, but they gave me the hardest time about cancelling and this was after a year of ordering from them!! They charged my CC twice for another full year and it was a huge hassle to have to go through it all with my CC company...

I don't know how many times I have read on other boards that Connections has double billed someone...and also I agree with Mary about when you sign up...How come they don't tell you what you are getting?? You have to be a Member first and then you find out what is on the site, ect. Seems strange to me!

I know others have never had a problem with Connections and that is great, I am very happy that someone has had a good experience with them, but I would never join them again!

Wow! Thanks for sharing that link. I will definitely steer clear of Connections.

Thanks for the heads up!

Thanks for the info. I had recently read several posts about the meal vouchers from Connections and had considered signing up. However, based on the info I just read, I'm certainly not going to go that route now.
