DD is flying from Bangor, ME to Orlando in early December. The changeover airport is Philadelphia. American lists this as a 40 minute connection time, with a terminal change. Is this enough time to change terminals and still make her flight? No idea of the on-time record of the BGR-PHL flight, but it is a small plane operated by a regional carrier; the flight from PHL-MCO is with American. We've never been to PHL, so I'm not sure if this would be really pushing the connection time.

I'd say the odds of making that are reasonable, on the way to MCO especially if the flights are first thing in the AM. But it will be tight. Very tight.

I've had terrible experiences with PHL when I was the sort of person who traveled for work (in the before times) but that was exclusively with my departing from PHL flights on regional carriers affiliated with American. That alone gives makes me concerned for your daughter's trip.

I decided to pay a bit more money and get her the ticket with a 2 hour layover time. It cuts into her time in FL but missing her plane and having to take a much later flight would take longer and just stink. I have to say, one of the things I hate most about where we live are the limited transportation options.

Good move. We live nearby in South Jersey & Philly is our airport ( as I am entering this I hear a plane coming in for landing). If her plane arrived in Terminal F ( the main one for smaller aircraft) 40 minutes would've been tight. The American flight to MCO go out of C, B or A. There is a Shuttle bus if she lands at F to consider using even with the 2 hour layover.
