Connecting staterooms & verandas on the Dream/Fantasy

This is great. I had no idea you could do this. We have 3 adjoining rooms on deck 8.

Your going to have one or more that don't connect. Could you move to deck 9?
Call and ask about deck 10, although this is a tough subject for accurate info.

You did say "probably" though. Perhaps some adults would prefer the ones that don't connect. How about a kids balcony and an adults balcony. Rearrange once you see the configuration.

I would be upset if I asked about this, and was assured they all connected, even though details on this particular issue are elusive I would try somehow to call DCL maintenance or something if you HAVE to know. You would think Shore Side CS would have this info by now.

FWIW. You are not the only one caught off guard concerning deck 10 veranda connections.

Sorry to be the bearer of bad news. I hope I'm wrong, and/or it all works out.:goodvibes
Did you ever find out if rooms 10620 and 10622 on Disney fantasy can pull down the veranda partition? We booked those two rooms and were hoping for a bigger veranda..

Did this in April with 2 cabins connecting and the cabin host opened the partitions up so we had a nice large verandah. I do know that some of the cabins on Deck 10 forward are not able to be opened.

The verandah dividers do not "pull down". The front half opens. It doesn't really make the verandah larger, just accessible.

You can see 3 open dividers and a closed one (at the right) here:

Verandahs that have part of the superstructure running along side them cannot open (on deck 10). This is a divider that cannot open on deck 10:

Those that don't open are about every 3rd divider on that deck.

Also, just a heads-up - haven't seen anyone else mention this in this thread - that even if the balcony dividers do open, sometimes the crew will lock them for safety reasons if there are high winds. On our last cruise, our steward closed them for half the trip. It was not a problem because we had connecting rooms, but just be advised that even if the balconies CAN connect, it does not always mean that DCL will allow you to use that feature.

This is the balcony divider open in rooms with a skin on the balcony. One in 6 rooms has this decorative skin on the outside.

Hope that helps.

I'll look into it. I will assume you know every other pair of balconies connect on deck 10.

It's more difficult know that those exterior labeled images were removed.
I relied on those images to ascertain these details requested.

So who saved those images?

Please PM me.

All the great side ship photos are no longer available.

Some company pulled, or changed there photo hosting rules.

Find a pair of cabins that do connect externally on deck 10 , and I'll figure it out.

I'd search here; Disboards.

Like I said, they connect in pairs between the bump outs.

So if you find a pair that connect, or even don't connect, we can find the pattern.

Then ascertain your veranda connection.

I regret now not labeling a deck plan with this info.

So who has had connecting cabins, or not, on deck 10, Dream or Fantasy, between the bumpouts.?

Share cabin #'s.

Buz2, unfortunately it looks like your two cabins do not connect externally, according to my rough analysis.

10620 / 10622

I came to this conclusion knowing every other balcony pair connect on deck 10.
Then found past disboard reports of deck 10 cabins that do or don't connect.

Do connect;
10522/10550
10548/10546

Printed deck plan of deck 10. And made some marks on said printouts.
Results were obvious.

I should post a graphic of this.

But that means others pairs do connect such as;
according to my sleep deprived rough math.

10618/10620
10616/10614
10612/10610
etc.

see the pattern.

Just a reminder, we are discussing deck 10, Dream and Fantasy.
All verandas below deck 10 connect, unless in an aft corner, then that is even debatable apparently.

And under the bumpouts fore and aft there are no connections between balconies.
