Has anyone every splurged and got 2 connecting staterooms vs 1 for family of 4? We have 2 DS's 12 and almost 15 by the time we cruise. I am worried about space and I am considering getting 2 connected rooms for 2K more? Do you think it's worth the extra cost? I would like opinions? I don't think so but DH is really worried about space. This is our first cruise and we are used to DVC 1 bedrooms. Thanks.

2 connecting Oceanview rooms may not be much different in price than 1 Verandah. We have 5 family members and we have always booked 2 rooms.

We did two 9C oceanview rooms last March/April on the Wonder. We have three little ones. It was really nice to put the three little ones to bed in the one room while my husband and I stayed up to watch TV or read a book in the other room. We always had the doors between the rooms open (the room host had stoppers he put under the door) so if anyone needed us we were right there. We really liked having two TVs and two bathrooms too!

Had planned to get two connecting OV again for our next cruise but we were priced out. Instead we got an 8D (Family Oceanview that sleeps 5) on the Fantasy. I'm hoping we are able to keep the peace with all of us in one room...we shall see!

We've found that on many cruises it is cheaper to get 2 inside cabins versus 1 verandah. For us, we'd much rather have twice the space than the verandah.

We have a family of five and have done the deluxe inside room on the fantasy. We really like the extra room and the two sets of bathrooms. Our rooms have the magic porthole which my girls like, but the are younger still. Also the inside rooms can get much darker than the other rooms, which can be a plus.

We would still get a verandah thus the 2K extra charge. I need and want a verandah. Do the verandah's connect too?

We've done connecting veranda rooms on the Dream and Fantasy with me and DH in one room and my MIL and our daughter in the other. It was nice for the space and to have the balconies opened to each other as well!

We got 2 connecting inside staterooms for our family with me, DH, DS (14), DD (9). I would much rather have the two rooms than verandah, and the price was about the same. The kids were able to sleep while we were up and about, and 2 of the nights I slept in the room with the kids while DH snored away in the other room. Also, if DD or DH went to bed before DS and I came back to the room, we were able to keep from bothering them. Having the 2nd bathroom and more space was also worth it.

We were on the Magic recently and loved having two connecting Oceanview cabins on Deck 2. With 4 people and the two split bathrooms, there was never an issue getting up and getting everyone out of the room and ready in the mornings. Also, coming back from the pools in the afternoon, showering and changing for dinner was also quick. We enjoyed the big window to view the ocean and Castaway Cay. We have had verandas on the Dream and Wonder, but the window was good enough. We were so busy getting to activities, we never spend much time on the balcony on a Disney cruise.

Our first 3 cruises were connecting insides, we have 2 teens. Our 4th cruise, this past September, we did 1 verandah instead. At the end of the cruise we all decided we're going back to 2 insides. It's so worth the extra cost for 2 rooms.

This is exactly what we did last year on the Dream and last week on Royal Caribbean Liberty of the Seas. It ended up being quite a bit cheaper and for us, the extra space and bathroom is way more important than a verandah.

Would you mind sending me a PM of your thoughts on LotS? We are considering an October 2017 on her, it's only $2500 for 2 promenade view staterooms for a 7night western Caribbean. That seems like a fantastic deal but I'm waiting for DCL to release the rest of 2017. I'm hoping for the west coast next October. Would you do Royal again and how did they compare to DCL?

We book a veranda for us and an inside room across the hall for our kids:))
We do this when we sail Royal Caribbean with our 2 teens, and have 2 side-by-side but not connecting cabins when we cruise Disney with them. Definitely 2 cabins instead of squeezing 4 in one unless 2 are very small children, I think!

We haven't done a connecting room before, but have done a verandah stateroom with a 10 and 14 year old and felt like we had plenty of room. How long is your cruise? We honestly weren't in the cabin all that much on a 4 night and when we were, it really wasn't a problem. Both girls were fine on the bunks, we had plenty of storage space for all of our luggage under the bed and leftover room in the closets and drawers. We considered getting a larger verandah for our upcoming cruise, but decided against it because we really didn't think we'd need any more space.

We are a family of 5 and do two connecting Verandah rooms and we do NOT remove the divider on the Verandah. I like my privacy.

We are doing a 7 nighter. Friends of ours just got back with similar ages and they said they could never do more without more room. However they had an upper birth which we made sure to have Murphy bed.

We are a family of 5-- we've done the verandah, family ocean view and two connecting. The two connecting was not more expensive. I think the thing I loved most about having two rooms was having two showers which made clean up after going to the pool so much faster.
