Connecting Rooms on Magic?

We have connecting rooms on our upcoming trip on the Magic. I know there is a door connecting the two rooms... but do the balconies connect?

No, on the Magic and Wonder, the balconies do no connect.

The piece separating them doesn't come off? I had heard we could request to have it removed?

We just had a connecting room on the Magic and the divider on the verandah definitely did not appear to be movable. My understanding is that the movable kind are only on the two new ships.
