I noticed in tour videos that the deluxe rooms at WL have a connecting door in them. Do those connecting rooms also have club level privileges? Can you effective create a two bedroom suite if you have a deluxe room and the connecting room?

My parents are staying CL at WL and we’re in a deluxe room and I’m wondering if we should put in a connecting room request or if those connecting rooms are just standard.

I'll start by saying that I don't know anything about connecting rooms on the club floor, however, if you aren't staying club level, you will be on a different floor.
Sorry, I should have clarified. The deluxe rooms are club level rooms but they are all on the lower floors versus the club floor. I’m not sure though if the connecting rooms to them though can be considered CL. It seems weird to me to have a non CL room connecting to a CL room, but I’ve seen weirder at Disney hotels!

I know what you are talking about. Yes the deluxe rooms are on floors 1-6 and separate from all the other cl rooms. You can ask for connecting rooms. Also for 149 a night you can add club level access to a room. It is only available at check in and in person for length of stay not in advance.

If they have those rooms connecting you would think they would expect the request.

I did the cl access in April 2024 so it’s currently a thing.

Good luck, sounds ,like a good idea to me!

You could try requesting with DSS prior, it can’t hurt to ask.

Do you recall which video you saw with the Deluxe rooms having a connecting door?

They do have french doors between the sitting area and the bedroom, and a door from the bedroom to the bathroom They don't connect to regular guest rooms. There are only 10 of these Deluxe rooms, 2 each on floors 1-5, and on the corner of the building. They each also have 2 balconies. There are also 2 regular guest rooms between the 2 Deluxe rooms on each floor.

Your best bet would be to make a reservation for a regular room and then have a reservation CM update both (2) reservations with a notation of: traveling together and provide the reservation number for the other room on each reservation. That way you may be able to be on the same floor and in many cases very near each other. You might be able to get a room next-door but again there are only 10 of those rooms between the 10 deluxe rooms.

As @trishadono mentioned you can always request to add CL access to a regular room for $149 per night per room for lenght of stay. There are a limited number of CL add-ons available that's why you have to ask at the Front Desk.

I don’t, it was a random YouTube tour. The connecting door was between the table and the small sink in the living room. It looked like a standard Disney connecting door, I think it’s that thick white line seen in the floor plan you posted!

I’m just curious if anyone has ever booked a deluxe and the room next door and can confirm if 1) they definitely connect and 2) the room next to it can be a club level room. I get the sense though this may not be something that comes up often, if ever!

The deluxe rooms have a connecting door to a regular resort room next door. We have stayed in both these rooms. The deluxe room is club level. I really don't know if the regular room automatically entitles them to club level if they are connected to you. But I do know that any guest can add club level access to their room at check in for a cost of $149 per day, when available. :)

Yes, this would be a very rare question - first time I’ve ever seen it.

The one ‘problem’ is that you can’t specifically book this arrangement. One could book each room type and each request a connecting door to the other reservation, but there’s no guaranty they can accommodate that request. Given the few numbers of rooms in question and limited Tetris moves for the room assignor, it might be challenging/highly variable.

That said, let’s say both parties do get assigned connecting rooms, highly likely the CL folks will require the guests in the non-CL room do the paid CL add-on described above, in my opinion.
