We are staying in a cat 6 #6052 on the Magic 3/1 cruise. The room is connecting with 6054. We were wondering what is the differences are between rooms that connect and don't connect with each other.
Thanks,

We have been on the Wonder and the Magic--both times with adjoining rooms. It is so nice to go from room to room with that connecting door. I liked the idea of propping it open to keep an eye on the kids.

I have cruised three times in a connector and I can't say there is much difference than a non-connecting room. We always keep our side locked and usually have something (luggage or laundry bag) in front of the door. I used to think there was a bit more noise, but on our last cruise we heard from our next door neighbor and we weren't in a connector! I don't think it is much of an issue.

We've sailed twice with a connector. The first time it was just the four of us - all in the same room and we kept our side locked. Presumably the next door neighbors did the same as we never heard anything.

The second time it was the four of us and my parents. They were in the connector. It was handy a couple of nights when DD decided to turn in earlier than I, DH or DS wanted to because Grandma tends to retire a little earlier or at least get out of the crowds and read. So we could open the doors and she could listen in. And when Grandma discovered she had packed all of her shirts and sent them with the baggage for diembarkation she could knock to borrow an extra I had in my carry on! :p Most of the time we kept the doors closed and at least on our side locked. If they knocked we opened but hey I moved out of the house a long time ago and don't need mommy and daddy wandering in unannounced! ;)
