OK - this maybe a really dumb question - but I am going to ask it anyway!

This summer our family of 6 will be on a connecting flight from Detroit to Seattle. Now we have never, ever not flown direct!

So, do we have to collect our luggage from the first flight and check it in for the second leg of the flight or does the airline do that?

Also, we are flying SWA and will print our boarding passes 24 hours before our flight from Detroit to Chicago. But do we also print off our boarding passes for the flight from Chicago to Seattle?

Thanks to anyone who can help. I hate lacking in information when you are travelling with 4 kids!

They will move the luggage for you from one plane to the other. When you check-in, they will put all the info on the tags. You will be able to print off boading passes for both flights.

That is what I was thinking - but you can never be sure what "new" rules have been made in regards to flying.

Thanks
