I give Kat all the credit in the world. So she may not have as much soul as Taylor. I think that she has more potential and will go far.

I figure by the time you get to the final two it doesn't matter much who gets "crowned" American Idol. Whoever is runner-up is going to definitely have a wonderful career as a singer. Katharine has her place...on Broadway. She could step onstage as "Velma Keller," or even "Roxy" in "Chicago" tomorrow and I'll be first to pay full-price for those tickets. That's a helluva voice! It's just too pure and sweet for mainstream music.

As for Taylor, well...I'll be the dork in the SOUL PATROL shirt at the Ky. concert...

Please relax. It was all meant in fun. BTW, "I" am NOT a Taylor fan exactly. My favorite was Chris. In fact, of the final 10, Taylor was probably # 5 or # 6 in my eyes, but I think he clearly won tonight.

If I hear Taylor (or anyone else in the American Idol audience) say "soul patrol" one more time.... tomorrow night can't come soon enough. Either I will be very excited that Miss Katherine will have won or quite miserable that there has been a mistake like the year that Ruben won over Clay (but Clay came out alright in the end.) So I guess all in all it doesn't really matter who America votes for, it's what the idol makes of themself when the contest is said and done...

Some people sure do take this seriously! The runner ups do OK.

Bo has done well enough considering the insipid CD American Idol put together for him. Ruben does fine in his own genre. The only one I can't make excuses for is Justin.

Both Katharine and Taylor will do well IMO, whatever happens. They both have a lot to be proud of.
