Hi all!

I was reading somewhere, don't remember where, but it said you could get "Congratulations!" Buttons like the birthday buttons at guest services in each park. First, is this true? and second if it is, can you get one for any "congratulations!" occasion or is it just for the usual ones like weddings? :confused3

Thanks!

When we were at DW a couple of weeks ago, there were birthday ones, wedding ones, anniversary ones, and ones that said "First trip to Disney World". I had never noticed those buttons before, and I saw them on several people. There may have been other types of buttons, those are just the ones that I remember.

DD7 got a "congratulations" button at the rope drop at MGM in August. One of the CMs dropping our side of the rope gave about 7-8 of them to the little kids near the front. Not really a "congratulations" event. LOL! However, he just handed them out. DD was excited! It has Mickey, Minnie, and a few other characters on it.

Where would you get the "First Trip to Disneyworld" Buttons.......I want to get one of those for my DD when we go in Feb

Guest Services at any of the parks.
I was in the GS office at Epcot about a couple of serious issues and started 'complaining' (with the CM knowing in advance that I was kidding) about how they have buttons for birthdays, for anniversaries, for honeymooners, for first-time visitors... but that they didn't have one for ME, travelling alone and not having any friends. I was wrong. I am now an Honorary Citizen of Walt Disney World Resort, and have a button to prove it! :teeth:

Guest Services at any of the parks has them. When we went to WDW for our honeymoon last year we had a hard time finding the just married buttons. So, this nice little old lady gave us both the Wedding and the Congrats buttons for our trouble.

My DH and I wore our "congratulations" buttons on our honeymoon. They were great!!! Lots of pixie dust follows those things around and it was nice just to hear "Congratulations" from cast members who were walking by. It added to the whole experience. You can get them from Town Hall in MK. Seconds after we put ours on (I had to give DH the "look" as he was feeling that those buttons weren't very manly) we were asked to be Grand Marshals in the Make your Dreams Come True Parade at MK!! (i think was what it was called...the afternoon one) It was really FUN!!! princess: :wizard:

Thanks for the answers. I am now wondering if it would be strange for me to get one. The thing is I am finally finishing up my pre-pharmacy classes giving me an "implied" Associate of Science to go with my real Associate of Arts Transfer degree. It took me 6 years to get here and as long as I finish the series I am in now I can finally look to professional school. I would love to have a congratualtions button but don't want to be forever explaining that I am not newlywed to my best friends brother who is going with us or her boyfriend who is the other guy going with us.
Thanks again for the answers!

My oldest DD got engaged on our trip to WDW in March. We asked if they had one for just engaged people, but all they had was 'Just Married'.
