I was surprised it was as close as it was. All day long the radio here has been saying how the Astros were taking a "we can afford to lose game 6" attitude. They even interviewed Munro and he said "We'll have Roger for Game 7, so this isn't a must win". With an attitude like that, it's surprising the Cardinals didn't blow the Astros out early and win it in nine innings.

Hubby and I both were a bit nervous there during the last few innings of the game but thank goodness we pulled it out! All I can say now is lets win tomorrow and then........... Bring on the Red Socks!! Woo Hoo this is going to be fun and I remeber how nuts this town went back in the 80's so let the party begin!

If the Astros do lose tomorrow (and I don't think they will ), at least I won't feel near as bad as it must feel to be a Yankees fan right now. That has to hurt to see your team go up 3-0 and lose the series, especially to a your most bitter rival.

Monday is a big day for the Cardinals. They play the home opener in the new Busch Stadium. Looking forward to another great season!

But then I looked at the date on the post.

Yes, I bet they are looking forward to Monday. Hopefully after tonight, they will be even more anxious to leave town.
