Thank everyone!
This transition is something that Pete and I have been discussing for quite some time now, but as he said on the show it wasnt the right time then. Ive been fortunate enough to have a front row seat on the DIS for 8 years, working closely with Pete on nearly all aspects of the business. While our personalities and the way we approach things are very different, our goals and vision for the DIS have always been in sync.
The DIS has always been my creative playground, a place to explore and experiment with new things on a very active website, while learning from the creator at the same time. There's always something new that can be added to enhance the user experience on the site and the sense of community on the forums. That's the fun part. Also, with new technology comes higher expectations on what visitors expect out of a website. The DIS will never be complete.
As for the show, I want to clear this up before the speculation starts (too late). I will not be taking over Petes role as host of the show. We do have something planned that we will announce at a later date.
Thanks again for your support on my new role, and Petes adventure to pursue other great things.
