I imagine World Showcase is very busy during the Food & Wine Festival. We are lucky enough to be staying at Beach Club late in October because we like the area, not for F&W. But, am I kidding myself....will the EPCOT resorts be congested and chaotic in that time frame? Wondering? :3dglasses

I don't have any info for you as we have never stayed during those times, but I just wanted to give a hello neighbor to a fellow RI'er!

I stayed at BWV last October. I don't think it was any different than any other time, those resorts are usually close to 100% occupancy all the time.

I've stayed at BWV during F&W Fest for the past three years. While it's been busy, I wouldn't say it's chaotic. I've always been able to check in with almost no line.

We stayed at BCV the first week of October last year and had no problems. EPCOT was pretty busy, but the resort around that area seemed just fine to us.

The resorts won't have any noticable crowds just stay out of Epcot on the weekends. Weekends can get very crowded and sometimes obnoxious in my past experiences.

Last October we stayed at BCV for the F&W. Absolutely wonderful time. I didn't think it was busy at all. Check in was great the rooms were ready by 3pm. Everyone did keep saying stay away on the weekends though. Have fun and do it. You will love it.

We went this year the week AFTER the food and wine festival, and every single person we spoke with while at EPCOT said to thank our lucky stars we weren't there during the event, that it was a MADHOUSE. I am assuming, though, that it was just the festival that was crazy, and no so much the rides.

The F&W Fest weekends are ridiculous in Epcot itself, particularly the weekend of the Race for the Taste, or whatever the 10K they have during the F&W Fest is called. Go during the week, and it's not as bad; hit one of the other parks on Fri. p.m. - Sun.

Good advice not to go to EPCOT on the weekends if you aren't fond of crowds. We have always found that it is much better on Mondays and Tuesdays. October is better than that first week of November. that particular week has...
last week of Food and Wine
Super Soap weekend at MGM (or whatever it is called now)
Jersey Week due to Teachers convention
sometimes Veterans day (or Remembrance day for Canadians)

plus a few other events I can't remember.

We are there almost every year. Is it busy? Yes but do we have a great time? You BET !!!

We were at the BCV this past Oct for F&W. We went the last week of Oct. Sunday-Friday and I didn't think it was bad at all...It rained a lot and that might have kept people away.

I did attend F&W the previous year over a long weekend in Nov and it was a madhouse...I think staying away on weekends is the key.
