Ok heres my question to those that know the answer!
I have 3 kids, one who will eat off of our plate, and one who can get kids meal! but I have a kid who is 15 ( looks about 12) well, hes not a big eater and pretty much a chicken tender eater! Well my question is this. Are the restaurant in disney strict about who orders on the kids menu? I'm wondering if they will allow him to order off the kiddie menu?
We are not getting any plan for food! We are staying at the SOG so getting the dining plan is out of the question! So we got to be cautious on our budget on food!

If paying OOP, even adults can order children's menu items.

I'm a small eater and lots of times I order off the childrens menu, sometimes I order only an appetizer and a dessert.

We have three boys and our older two are pre-teen "Disney adults." We don't use the dining plan anymore for several reasons, but one of them is that one of our pre-teens still orders almost exclusively from the children's menus.

In many WDW restaurants, the CMs offer our pre-teens both the adult and kids' menus and tell them to choose whatever they would like. Our oldest pre-teen usually either shares an entree with me, or we both order appetizers as our entrees.

We do need to choose family style meals and buffets carefully because, of course, we need to pay adult prices at all fixed price meals for our pre-teens regardless of what they decide to eat. But once we pay the adult fixed price, our pre-teens have been able to eat both adult and kids' items. Again, the CMs always offer them both.

Thank you this help so much! I figure my mom, my DD, and I will do the Storybook princess breakfast in Norway while the Hubby and DS's wll do breakfast at the hotel! This way my baby girl and I can do our mommy and daughter thing with grammy!

Now onto figuring out which place the kids and hubby would like to eat at! I have untill March 8th to figure that out! Thats my 180 day mark!
