Confusion over 2010 BLT point chart

I happily called to make my first reservation for our March Spring Break trip today. According to the point chart posted on the DIS site, for 2010, at BLT, I should be able to get a one bedroom, standard view, 3/27 - 4/3 for 272 points, in Magic season. Now, most other charts have these dates in Premier, but I checked over and over, and it's in Magic for BLT on the DIS site. I don't have my Membership docs yet, as we just put our deposit down over the phone on Thursday. Also, no access yet to the website without our club IDs.

So, the reservation guy at Member Services tells me that the 27th is in Magic, but all the other nights are in Premier, boosting the points needed to 332! Now, what chart is he looking at?!? I noticed that almost all the other resorts did have these dates in Premier (I think SSR was the only other exception).

Could someone please check their Member book chart against the DIS chart and tell me who is right? Before I go dropping that Friday night stay (points back down to 266)...

The cast member is right the chart on the member site has magic season as March 1-27 and Premier season as March 28-31 and April 1-10

I see what you mean on the DIS point charts. Those are not the official ones of course but it looks like the dates for 2009 were incorrectly placed in the 2010 BLT point charts.

I've never used the DIS ones before and just look at the DVC member site for charts.

Premier season (for the WDW DVC Resorts) always includes the week before Easter and the week of Easter (as well as 12/24 -12/31).

For 2010, that would be 3/28- 4/10 since Easter will be on April 4.

If the charts you looked at say differently, then those charts are wrong. I will ask someone to correct the DIS charts.

Thanks for the correction. Now just have to decide if it's worth 66 points for a Friday night stay.... I think we'll be okay with 6 nights instead of 7!

I bet 6 nights will be fine for you. We went this past Nov. for 6 nights and it was perfect. We always went for 7 nights in the past and I was nervous about cutting back on this past trip but luckily it worked out great! If you have the points, book it, if not, go with the 6 nights and it will be fine. Have a great vacation no matter what you decide!

The 2010 point charts on the DIS come from the Timeshare Store. The 2010 point charts have several problems. The points have been updated from 2009, but the dates have not. Also, the sum of points for the MK View Studio during Premier Season is not right, it should be 240 points not 201.

And that is what I love about being a DVC member now!! If one year I have to stay one night less, that is okay because I know that I will be going back every year from now on!!!
