Confusion about embassy suites

Hi everyone. We are not thinking about booking at Embassy Suites.
We would prefer to be on International Drive. When I visit their website I only get reserv info for Jamaican court Embassy.

Which is the better of the two? I have heard that the one on Jamaican court is "tucked away" from I-drive. That can possibly be bad for us as we have 2 teenage boys who will go out on their own a lot.

Basically we have narrowed our search to Embassy suites. Which of the two is better location wise? We want to be around chain restaurant, stores, maybe a walgreens etc. If you have stayed at either what is your opinion and which is the best? And which one offers continental breakfast?

Thanks!

In my opinion, the one on Jamaican Court is better located than the one right on I-drive. it's not far from I-Drive itself, and it's right near a lot of restaurants and shopping. The one right on I-Drive is down by the Convention Center, and there's not much to do right around it.

They should both have free breakfast, as I think all Embassy Suites do that.

Stayed at the one on I-Drive and I was shocked at how close together the two of them are. It wouldn't make any difference to me. They both back up to I-4, so for noise, you might do better with Jamaican Court and request a room away from highway. Jamaican just sits back a block from I-Drive.

The Jamaican ct. one is not right on I-Drive, but it's like a 3 minute walk to it.The other one is more on the street but both are on the better side of I-drive basically south of Sand Lake rd.I've stayed at the Jamaican ct. location and thought it was very good.

I think you've got your answers, but I'll weigh in too since I've stayed at both of them.

The Jamaican Court site is just barely off of I-Drive. I think you could safely consider both of them as being on I-Drive.

Both of the properties had great breakfasts (cooked to order omelets, etc. along with hot food bars). They both open to a lovely atrium.

The South location (Conv. Ctr.) has two pools (one indoor and one outdoor). The JC location has one pool that is half in and half out.

We requested rooms away from I-4 in both locations and got them.

I think the I-Ride Trolley stops right in front of the South location and at the corner at the JC location (check www.iridetrolley.com to be sure). You can buy a week pass very cheaply.

If you have any other questions, I'd be happy to answer them for you.

I've stayed at both in the past, and feel that the one on Jamaican Court is slightly nicer. Either way I don't think you can go wrong, although as others have pointed out, Jamaican Court is a better location for walking to various attractions, restaurants, and shops.
