Confusing borrowing question

I am planning a Apr 2013 trip at BLT 2 Bed LV. I will be using 229 current pts and 241 borrowed pts. I would like to split the stay between BLT and BWV at 7mo mark. If it happens I would be credited 21 pts. Would those be credited as current (bankable) pts or borrowed (unbankable) pts? :confused3
Thanks for any information!

MS should use the borrowed points and return the current year points to your account. Then you can bank them if your UY permits. The system is set up to use borrowed points first, banked points second, transferred points third, the and current year points (annual allotment) is used last.

Since you will be calling MS for this type of change in your reservation, I would just confirm the that the system did it properly and you have the correct points back in your account.

Good luck at the 7 month mark! VWL is beautiful.

Thank you for the information. :thanks:
I never really knew which points were used first.
Also thanks for the heads up, I will double check where my points are with MS if I'm able to do the split stay

I agree with the previous poster. Specifically tell the cast member exactly what you want to do. In this case, it should be what they'd do for you automatically, but it never hurts to be very specific.

"Please check for availability for a two-bedroom at BWV on these dates. If a Boardwalk room is available, I want to cancel those nights from my existing BLT reservation, and re-book at the Boardwalk. When re-booking, please be sure to use the borrowed points first, so I can bank the 21 current use year points that will be left over."

If you know you're going to bank those 21 points, have the same cast member do the banking for you. That will ensure he/she did everything correctly with the reservation.

I also like to be right in front of my computer when I'm talking to Member Services. I hit refresh on the member web site until I can see the changes they made.

Great idea about watching my computer while the transaction is being processed.
Thanks :thanks:

I agree with previous posters, make sure that you are VERY specific about what you want to do. MS are very nice but if you are not clear you might not get what you are looking for.

I also like the idea of being online watching what they are doing. I am still not used to the website being so user friendly now so I wouldn't have even thought of that!

Good Luck
