We are looking to stay at Boardwalk and I have contacted several people about points. What I want to know is all the fact sheets I have read say that you can get a studio there with a daybed. There are going to be 2 adults and three kids. But, when I look up the points needed it just ask for a studio. Does the studio with daybed cost more or is it just something you ask for when reserving?

The rooms with the daybed are few in number and can not be guaranteed. The occupancy limit for a BWV studio is four plus one child under three in a porta crib......same occupancy limits for the one bedroom.

The daybed is quite small, really only suitable for a four or five year old.

The two bedroom would be perfect for your party size. Two bathrooms, seperate bedroom and a full kitchen make for a very comfortable vacation.

if your renting points to stay in a dvc home resort , the studio comes with 2 beds, depending which home resort you stay in you either get 2 full/double beds or 1full/double bed and a pull out couch that is the same size as the 1 bed. the studio is a good size four 4 adults or 2 adults and 3 small children. a 1 bedroom you get 1 king bed in a seperate room and a pull out queen couch in the living room/ kitchen area. i hope that helps you decide.;)

Just to clarify -

At BWV, the studios all have 1 Queen bed and a full/double sleeper sofa. There is also a Pac 'N Play portable crib in the closet.

There are a limited number of "studio plus" units scattered throughout the resort. These units are often referred to as dedicated studios. The dedicated units do not have a connecting door arrangement to a 1 bedroom unit. Instead, they have a small (approx 5 feet long) daybed in the space that is normally occupied by the connecting doors. As mentioned, there is no guarantee than a request for one of the dedicated studios will be granted. (My understanding from MS is that the room assigners do try to give parties of 5 priority for these units, but that it is not a good idea to count on getting one).

The daybeds are also rather narrow and IMHO, they are only suitable as a bed for a young child. They are not the same size as the daybeds found in the monorail resorts!

Occupancy limits are the same for studios and 1 bedroom units - 4 persons plus a child under 3 (who can use the porta-crib).
