I check into OKW on the 29th of august, and im trying to sort out my adrs. Im confused as some people say that if you stay on site you have 180+ 10 days does that mean 190 days before or as the disney website says... you can book the 1st 10 days of your holiday. Sorry if its been asked loads. So when can i actually book them and which of the top to is correct :)
Becuase its 185 days untill i check it so i hope i havnt missed out :(

Nope. You're safe. You still have to wait for 180 days until the day you check in. But when you get to that 180 day mark you make make ADRs for the first 10 days you are there. That's why they call it 180 plus 10, not 190, although this has done little to avoid confusion.

As Lee says it is 180 days, then you can book for 10 days. If not staying on site you still book ADR's at 180 day mark but can only book 1 day at a time.
there are some 180 day ADR calculators on the web, save wearing your fingers out working when the 180 day mark is !

Good luck with the ADR's, you can book these on line or by phone but if by ohone remmeber to use a telephone discount compaby, only 0.5p per min

I'll probably book them online while im at uni :). i think its monday whgen i can book them.....could be wrong.

Thanks for the quick response :)

Not sure if it still works this way but last year we booked hotel with Disney UK but needed the USA booking number to use the on line ADR; had to ring WDW USA to get this.

so i cant use the number i got this year :( im sure i used my number last year to book (booked them well after 180 days)

perhaps things have changed, the online system had only just started when we used it. Maybe start a new thread just to be sure ?

Rang up disney uk today and got my US res number. silly question but where do i type it in. :)
thanks

You won't see where to type it in unless you try search for restaurant availability 181 days + from today. So you can do a dummy booking for say 182 days from today's date and then it will ask for your reservation number as you are trying to book more than 180 days out, but still within your +10 zone.

so on wednesday (that will be my 180 day), i book a resturant and it will ask me to put in my res number? I tried to do a dummy booking buit it wouldnt let me select my arrival date as it was blanked out....i presume it will be until wednesday ???

It's nearly a year since I did mine. I will go and have a look and see if I can do a dummy booking. The site has had several upgrades and changes in the last year. Hopefully it will work for me :)

It is letting me do a dummy booking. I picked a restaurant and put it in for 6th September. As soon as I clicked to find avaiability a little box popped up underneath saying

We noticed that you requested a day more than 180 days in advance. Only resort guests have the benefit of reserving dining reservations that far in advance. If you have a resort reservation, please confirm it now.

So you will click the confirm now link and it will prompt you for your reservation number. Hope this helps. Let me know if you are still stuck :goodvibes

Thanks :) even when i put in my reservation number it still wont let me select my check in date :(

But you are not at 180 days yet are you? Try putting in two days earlier (you have 2 days to go) It is a real dummy booking because you are a couple of days early to work with actual dates. I know it sounds confusing but if you give it a try for 2 days before you check in, at least you will get a feel for the system so that by Wednesday you know where to find everything.

I cant remember it being this much hassle last year :( lol. Ill try a dummy booking, But surely it wont tell me on my 180th day that im too early? or is it only resort guests can book 18o days.
Thanks

Oh no, anyone can book at 180 days. It's just that resort guests can book the next 10 days at the same time, whereas offsite guests have to wait until the next day to make the following day's ADR and so on - basically having to go back each day to make the next one. We don't get to make them any earlier, but with the resort reservation number it will let you nail the first 10 days in one sitting.

Oh and to avoid panic on the day, when you log onto the Disney site for your ressies, you will no doubt be on there before 11 am as most of us are, waiting for the clock to turn .... And until then it will tell youl that you are too early. Make sure you refresh the page again at 11 and it will then take your ADR number and let you go into the next 10 days as well. Is it not letting you put your ressie number in at the moment? Or does it tell you something when you enter it?

Ah i see. So the question is do i input my res number now or wait for wed. Sorry for all the questions! lol

You can put it in now if you want to but because you are still 182 days from check in it won't offer you any more options so personally I wouldn't do it just now with that pernickety website :rolleyes1 As long as you know where to look for it you will be fine on the day. The purpose of playing around on the site a bit beforehand is that when you are ready and waiting on the ADR day, the last thing you want is to suddenly realise you have no clue where to put the number in. Going by what you have said you have done, you will be fine and once you get into it and do the first one the rest will be easy peasy. :) It has changed since last year. When I did mine there was an option to 'associate' your resort reservation on the dining page and that made things a bit clearer. But since they upgraded the website a few months back it has changed.

The only reason i know were to put it is because of that message if i dotn get that messgae on wednesday i wont have a clue. Looks like ill have to look into it some more lol.
