I am possibly thinking of booking a first ever trip to disneyworld where do I start what hotels would be easiest without renting a car and how do I get to the hotel from the closest airport (which airport is closest) I am trying to do this on a string budget but airfare alone looks like I will need a 2nd mortgage on my house PLEASE HELP!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!

Are you going to *Disney World* (Florida) or *Disneyland* (California)? If you really did mean Disney World, then it probably would be best to post to the various WDW trip planning boards here, like Resorts, Tips, Budget, etc.

The closest airport to DL is John Wayne--SNA

I would suggest you look over past posts on this board for more valuable information about shuttles, hotels/motels etc.

You will get plenty of info here!;)

After reading though all of the posts...just ask any question you might have!

Sue:)

I agree with what the other posters have already said on this subject. John Wayne is indeed the closest airport to the Disneyland Resort, but, if deals are also important to you, it likely won't be the cheapest airport the fly into. (For example, Southwest, who is famous for various deals, does not include John Wayne on their current "friends fly free promo.)

John Wayne / Orange County Airport is usually VERY expensive... but sometime you can get a good deal (~$250) for a Saturday stayover and planning ahead. Another alternative is Longbeach Airport... not as many flight choices, but reasonable airfare and about 20 miles from Disneyland (south on 405, east on 22, then north on Harbor).

Over and Out,
Gerry
