Confused w/ Rider swap

Rider Swap is to minimize waiting so that parents can both ride attractions their child(ren) cannot thus if she WAS tall enough to ride you would NOT be issued a swap pass.

Right. That's what I thought. But if you have 2 kids - 1 tall enough, 1 not, then one parent and a kid can go on the ride and the other parent use the Rider Swap pass and go back on the ride again with the tall kid, so the tall kid rides it twice, right?

Yes sorry I missed that you had two kids. If you have a child who is tall enough and one who is not than of course you can still get a rider swap. If they were BOTH tall enough you couldn't

No, you didn't miss anything. We only have 1 child. But I have been reading a lot about older kids able to ride couple times, so I just wanted some clarification.
Thank you very very very much!!!

No problem!!! I read A LOT about it before my trip last summer as my sister brought my 8 week old nephew and we'd never traveled with kids before so I wanted to be sure I understood it

According to a TR (for a very recent trip) FEA does have Rider Swap but it is true that it is not so a child can ride twice. Which is why I'm a tad confused as to why it has a Rider Swap.

Maelstrom had rider swap available, which we used many times before it closed, as my daughter would not ride it (when she was 4, 5, and 6). I think it was because of the really loud part and the 28-foot drop. Along with the standard pregnancy warning, I thought it had a "may not be suitable for young riders" warning or something, although that may be me totally making that part up.

I have not yet been to FEA (next month we will), but if it's basically a re-skinned ride (with the same drop), I'm guessing it is for the same reason.

FEA is not listed as an advisory on WDW website for Expectant Mothers.

Yeah I noticed that. Interesting that they changed it, especially by all accounts it's the same ride mechanically.

I guess all that really matters is that Rider Swap is available. Now what the criteria is to get a CM to give you one is the big question. We'll be two families, each with a 2yo, so we shouldn't have any trouble getting a couple rider swaps (if we can even get a FP in the first place). I imagine with older kids, they'll have to still be young enough where it's plausible they'd be afraid to ride.
