Confused townhouse or villa?

Okay, here is my confusion, I've looked and looked at various places to stay. We are leaning more towards a villa (private home) rather than a townhouse, because we'd have our own pool, but then again we will be going in March, will we be using the pool? Or should we do a townhouse. My boys 17 & 12 want to stay at WH because they looked at the website and said it looked like there was a lot to do there.

I'm just so confused, I think too many choices and since it seems to be in my hands I don't know what to do. Need advice....

It should be in the 70's and 80's in March. I do think you would get use out of the pool. My kids have gone in a pool in december on a good day.

I would go for a villa ( 4 - 6 bedroom pool home ). We've been there in Feb and Mar and always use the pool. Even if it's a little chilly in the evening the pool is nice and warm and you're only a few steps from the patio doors.
The townhouses in WH have 12 by 12 foot splash pools that are nice also but since your boys are older they might want a bigger pool. The main pool is usually warm even in March.
We're at WH right now in a 6 bedroom home and having your own pool is great. :thumbsup2

Depends on how many people you have coming, and costs too of course... a 6 bedroom home is obviously going to cost more than a 3 bedroom townhome! Do you have 4? The WHR townhomes do have pools, not as large as the pool homes but still quite nice!

Yeah, it seems the prices I've rec'd for the WH pool homes are out of our reach, though I really wanted to check it out, due to all the great reviews, I've gotten some decent quotes for Indian Ridge and IR Oaks.

We are a family of 5 (though our daughter will being doing an internship at Disney and that is why we are going down, plus my MIL is going also.

A townhome should be more reasonable then, AND gives you a private pool, of course you can use the resort pool as well! With a group that size everyone gets a bed too (we're not a big fan of sofa beds). Check it out, see what you get for price quotes! I'd rent a larger home myself if we were going with a larger sized group, for a family of 4 (us) it wouldn't make much sense though, too much house and cost for our sized group.

actually the townhouses at WH quotes have been more than the pool homes elsewhere and I'm not sure if it's because it's WH or what. I was surprised by that.

Probably, the other 2 resorts you mention are a lot older, not the same location, amenities, etc. If you go all the way out to Clermont, for instance, you can get pool homes cheaper, but they're further away of course!

We had a townhome in Windsor Palms last year with a splash pool. It was plenty for us and we didn't miss having a bigger pool. DD was 11 at the time and went in a few times. DW and I did also.

You are paying more at Windsor Hills because of all the facilities. The owners have fees to pay for all those facilites. And of course they are a few miles closer of course.

We never use all these extra facilities, so paying extra for them :confused3

An extra 5 miles to get to the parks is not a problem either, so we prefer to stay at Highgate Park, Glenbrook etc

Another great thing about the villas is that the pool also have a spa - great for relaxing in!
