Do Annual Passholder's get 20% at certain restaurants? Or do Annual Passholder's have to buy the Tables in Wonderland membership, and then they get 20% off at certain restaurants?

Annual Passholders can purchase the TIW card for 75 dollars. There is a different price when you are a FL resident. With the card you get 20% off of certain restaurants. There will be an 18% automatic gratuity when you use the TIW card. The break even point is 375 dollars. I hope this helps:goodvibes

Thanks. If you purchase the membership is it good for one year from the date of purchase or do you have to buy it for 2010, 2011, etc? We will be down in December 2010 and May 2011. That will be it for a while. Trying to figure out if it will be worth it.

We are buying one in June 2010 and it should expire July 2011. They are normally good for 13 months.

If you spend anything over 375 you should be making money on the card. Just check out the menus befoe you go.

It's a one year membership, good from the day you purchase it. They usually are good a little more than a year. The last one we had was purchased on Aug 10 and good until September 30 the following year.

Ok, random question, and I don't mean to hijack the thread but...

I was just reading about the TIW card and it said that you either have to be a FL resident or an AP holder to get it. Which is fine since I'm a passholder, but it said you have to be 21? I'm sorry, but I just think that's silly. I'm an 18 year old passholder and I'd like to have it to use for trips with my mom, but I don't think she can purchase one since she isn't a passholder. If it's the rule, it's the rule and that's fine, but I was just wondering if anyone had any explanation as to why this is?

The only thing I can think of is that the discount includes alcohol  Doesn't make much sense, but I can't think of anything else.

Sounds plausible. While the card, itself, doesn't serve as proof of age, there may be a law that prohibits even offering a card that offers discounts on alcohol, to a minor. You know how those drinking age laws are written -- very very strict and onerous.

some restaurant discounts available for just having the AP. The restaurants involved are very limited and may be for specific meals. The discounts I remember were also only 10% with limitations. It's more an afterthought than a replacement for the TIW card.

Thanks for the replies, although that just doesn't make much sense. A discount card really has nothing to do with what I order and if I were to try to order alcohol, obviously they can ask for ID. Oh well. A 10% dining discount at some places is pretty good just with the AP. :goodvibes

The law doesn't always make sense -- especially when it comes to alcohol (and sex, and drugs, and rock 'n' roll for that matter :))

What CS in the parks accept TIW, have been thinking of purchasing this card myself. I know some of the CS at the resorts accept it but not sure on the ones in the parks. Thanks for any info.

None in the parks. Just CS at the resorts that don't have TS (Pop, All-Stars, POFQ)

Stumbled upon this thread - there are a few things that could be cleared up...

The OP asked of AP holders got 20% at certain restaurants - the answer is Yes. There locations are limited and the discounts vary and may be limited to certain meals.

The TIW card gets you a flat 20% at a much larger selection of locations, and covers alcohol which most discounts do not.

Actually, there are a few CS locations, all of them at AK: Flame Tree BBQ, Pizzafari and Restaurantosaurus. I believe this is allowed because the only TS location that takes it is Tusker House.
