Confused re: Banked Points

Happy Holidays Everyone!
I hope someone can help me out. I am confused regarding banked points. I have some points which were banked and are set to expire 5/31/03.
Does this mean I have to use the points by that date? Or can I make a reservation for later in the year (ex: October) using those points? TIA!

No, all point usage is governed by the date of stay, not the date of reservation. If they are banked from June 2001, then they must be used for a stay before 6/1/03.
