Confused? Please help

I was hoping that some of the more savvy Disney experts could help me. I went to the Disney web site and priced out our vacation. 8/21/08-8/29/08 AKL~ standard view room, DDP and 7 day base tickets, 2 adults, 2 kids (12 &9)
Price- $2923.11

I saved the offer in my account. 2 days later I receive an email with a 20% code. I call last night and explain that I received the email and I would like to price out a vacation. Give the same information as above and get a price quote with the discount of $3509.83???

I ask them to hold the res. and they sent to me the email conformation, this way I can compare and see what the difference is. There is no difference. I call back today and ask how could it be less expensive on the site, are the site prices different?

The CM asks for the code and states the code was applied wrong and gives me a price of $3101.12? So I say again "are the prices on the site less", He states "no all the same, but that the site does not charge tax". I asked, "then how is it less money with no discount on your web site". His reply" I don't know"

Could someone shed some light for me ~TIA~

Try the reservations site again. I think Disney's numbers were right and yours were off; maybe the computer didn't catch the DDP or something.

I just ran the numbers: AKL, standard view 8/21-8/29, 7 day tickets (no ph or waterparks), DDP for 2 adults, 2 kids (1 12 year old who counts as an adult and 1 9 year old.)

The price I got was $3914.79.

Deduct the 20% from the $225 per room for each of 8 nights, and you can deduct $360 from your total, leaving you $3554.79. Throw in some taxes and I still think the $3101 number is a bargain.

I waited a while, then ran the numbers again. I still get $3914.79 before the 20% discount.

If you can get a price of $3101, you're getting the 40% discount. Take it and run!!!!

Room rack rate = 2025
Room @ 40% off = 1215

1215 + 1889(tickets + dining) = 3104

You got 40% off your room. Not sure why you took only a 7 day ticket - for $17 more total, you can get a 9 day ticket.

With your original pricing of $2923, you left off the DDP.

Yes, You are right the DP was not showing up in the total on my computer. I just called them back after I read your replies.

I just booked at the 3104.00 price Thank you for your help.

I am only doing the 7 days for we are going to BG one day and we have a free one day pass for BB from my DH job...
