Confused on Memory Maker??

We are traveling with my DH's family in May for a big trip. My MIL is buying MM for all of us.

Now if I am reading correctly from other DISer's posts, as long as all 8 adults are linked together through MDE, then anyone of us has access to MM?Meaning, if only 4 adults (not including my MIL) ride TT, then it only takes one of us to scan for that particular ride pic?

Also, my DH, DD and I are staying a few extra days aside from his family. Can we still use MM, if we are linked into MDE and have added days to our tickets? She is purchasing 5 day park hoppers and once there we are going to add 2 days onto ours.

I asked a CM and they said I would have to buy a separate MM, but I wouldn't do that for our 2 park days, because at $149 that's too steep! If that is the case, then I will just be at the mercy of asking CM's to take our photo while it's just the 3 of us. Will they still do that, even though you haven't purchased a photo package? When we went 6 years ago, I found many CM's willing to take a photo, they may not have the best photo eye, but at least we would have pics of the 3 of us together?? Any help is appreciated!

MIL will list you as friends and family on the memory maker. You can get a photopass card when MIL is not with you. You add the photopass card number to the Memory Maker and you can edit and add borders.

So I could assume that even when my MIL leaves, that as long as we have a PP card, then we can still add our photos to the family MM?

And while we are all there, only 1 adult needs to scan at a ride photo booth correct? Not every person since we would all be linked together (hopefully).
