Confused on Gratuities with DDP...

I'm not quite sure I understand if, when, and how much to tip when on the dining plan. We'll have 2 adults and 3 children. We'll be doing several character meals and the way I understand it, the gratuity rules are different for those types of meals & buffets, etc--right?? Here are our ADR's so if someone can please let me know if tips are included and if not, how to tip accordingly... CHEF MICKEY'S, LIBERTY TREE TAVERN'S GOOFY'S CHARACTER DINING, HOLLYWOOD & VINE-FANTASMIC PACKAGE, & MICKEY'S BACKYARD BAR-B-QUE. Also, tips for quick service meals aren't necessary..but do most people leave a dollar or two?? My DH would like me to have everything planned out ahead so.....we're not baffled at the last minute trying to figure it all out while shuffling our young nephews.

Quick service meals no you do not need to leave a tip. It is like McDonald's stand in line to order and clean your own tables.

I could be wrong about this but I think that the tip is included in the mickey BBQ but not the others you listed. I know it is included in CRT and Hoop Dee Doo.

You simply tip what you feel the service was worth...they give you a receipt that tells you what 18% and 20% of the total cost of the meal would be...you decide...you could do 15%, 18%, 20%, or more or less depending on what YOU think is best. I think tips ARE included in Mickey's Backyard BBQ but are NOT included in the fantasmic dinner packages...tips are not included in any of the other meals you mentioned either...you pay them yourself. As far as CS goes, no, you do not even leave a dollar or two (except at the Pepper Market, which there is a mandatory tip...however, YOU do not pay it, it is payed by by the DDP) Have fun and EAT MUCH!
