Confused on current incentive and current year points

A friend of mine called because she is hopelessly confused and the truth is I have paid NO attention!

She has a March use year. If she buys during the current incentive she knows she gets 2009 points and developers points. Does she get 2008 points?

(And just because I want to know what happens if it's a June use year)

She doesn't care about Jambo vs. Kidanai.......(I can't see what difference it makes anyway, but....)

She does not receive 08 points. We have a March UY and when I called my guide and learned the current incentive does not include 08 points for us, it wasn't as good of a deal and we passed on it.

With a March use year she will not get 2008 points IF she buys Kidani, which is what is currently for sale. She could waitlist for Jambo and would then get her 2008 points, too. As for June use year, if you buy Kidani you MAY get 2008, but reports are that they also may not be available.

The reason a Kidani purchase with a March use year will not get 2008 points is that it would be impossible to use March 2008 points at Kidani since it will not open until May 2009. They cannot give buyers points that would be impossible to use. This is a result of pre-selling the resort before it is open. Those with use years after May will get 2008 points, but many are not available.
