Confused on ADR

Sorry if this has been asked before but I am a little confused on how the 180 days in advance works. For example, if I have a week vacation would I be able to book reservations for the full week once my check-in date hits 180 days or will I have to login 180 in advance for every day I have a Hotel reservation in order to make the reservations for that specific day? Sorry if this is coming off as confusing or not making sense.

If you are on-site, you can book the whole week of reservations at your 180 day mark. Off-site is day by day rolling 180 day booking window.
