I think you should do 1/2 day at epcot on the morning of mvmcp. You know what your children and your family will enjoy best. If you think they will enjoy epcot then by all means take them. On the other hand if you dont think they will appreciate it then it never hurts to spend more time in mk.

With a 5 day base ticket, you can still do MK twice and each of the other parks once. I wouldn't skip Epcot! I really wouldn't skip any park on a first trip. I would do Epcot on Wednesday. This park is huge and you'll need a full day, at least. I'd do MK Thursday morning, take a break, and return for the party. This is what we did on our first trip and it worked out very well.

I have been a huge Epcot fan since the year it opened. I was 6, definitely not too young to enoy seeing all the countries and cool technology!

Our whole family loves Epcot and we usually do a day and a half for MK and Epcot each.

You plan looks good in the sense that, having done a full day at MK on Sunday, you will know best whether you want to do more time there Wednesday. I would say to at least do a half day at Epcot. For us though, even a quick Epcot trip requires a day. There's just so much to see. IMO.

There's nothing wrong with doing two days with split visits MK/Epcot. It may actually be less tiring on you all do break things up a bit!

First of all, crowds won't be a problem the week you're going. We were down there the same time in 2004. Weather should be great too! AK on Monday is a great idea! If you've never been, you need to do EPCOT, so I would keep it for Wednesday. Not sure if your family will like the World Showcase, so if they don't just hop on the monorail and go over to MK after you get done with Future World. As far as you MVMCP day, I would suggest sleeping late and taking your time getting to the park. Maybe go to Downtown Disney for an hour or two. We did it last year, and while I was okay, my wife actually fell asleep in Mickey's Philharmagic! You may not believe this, but you'll figure it out once your down there, I promise! Just thought of something. It'll make for a long day, but we did it last year and were fine. EPCOT on Wednesday for half a day, monorail over to MK, then come back to EPCOT for Illuminations. DO NOT MISS ILLUMINATIONS!! Also, do not miss Fantasmic at MGM! Best show there, IMHO!
