Hi, Could someone help me please.
I thought that the Occeaneer Club was 3-7, and the Lab was 8-12?
Not that it matter,s to me as my youngest will be 8 when we travel ,and loves all the dressing up and everything that the Occeaneer club put's on, My eldest will be 9 and again she will love the older stuff.
I have seen a few threads and Im sure they said that the lab was 8-12?
Can anyone shed some light for me?
I do realise that they do spend time together doing various activities but I just wanted to know if I am going totally mad and dreaming about dis threads that are really not there!!!

Hey Chucklechops, did you see the link I posted for you about the Passporter (on another thread)?

Check out Oceaneer Lab

We've sailed twice so far. The first time my daughter had just turned 13 and was not ready for the Teen Club. The Oceaneer's Club let her in (even though the age limit is 12). I think it is 9-12. I think the other club is 5-8 and then there is one for 2-4 and then the nursery. I think, if I remember right.

Anyway, they are fabulous clubs. The counselors are amazing and you can get beepers so that you will always know what they are doing. When my daughter was in the Oceaneer's club, she could beep me when she was going back to the room or they were going for pizza, etc. (that is if you give permission for them to leave the club on their own).

The teen club is even more spectacular. They'll enjoy that, too, when they get that age.

Have fun.....

The ages are 3-5 and 6-7 in the club. The lab is 8-9, 10-12. We justs got back from the 5/1 Eastern and my kids LOVED the club and lab. My DD is 6 (7 on May 23) and my DS is 9 (10 on May 30). We let him go with the 10-12 which allowed him to check himself in and out of the lab as long as he paged me to let me know where he was going. It worked like a charm. He got a little bit of freedom and responsibility, but in a controlled setting. My DD loved the club. They both went from about 9-2 everyday and only ate dinner with us on 3 nights. They were there the entire time.

I would recommend it to anyone!

The age groups posted here are accurate. You can request that your just turned 8 year old be moved down into the 6-7 year old group in the club. However, the club and lab are almost never together. The 2 age groups in each group do spend some time together, but offhand the only time I remember the club and lab together is when they do their "show" at the end of the cruise.

Just in case that's not clear, here's an example. In the lab, at a particular time, the 8-9 year olds might be working on making a commercial, while the 10-12 year olds are having music time. The next time block may be listed as "hanging at the lab" for both 8-9 and 10-12. During that time, both age groups will have free time to use the computers, the video games, the knex and other open toys and games that they have. If your 8 year old is with her age group, she and her sister would be together during the 2nd time period. If she's with the 7 year olds, they wouldn't.

Hope this helps!
