Confused by room only cancellation policy

I'm a little confused by the room only cancellation policy. If room only is booked online then a one night deposit is due at the time of booking and the total balance is due 45 days in advance, but if I book by phone a one night deposit is due within 7 days and the total balance is due at check in. Is this correct?

If I book by phone will I still receive email confirmation and so forth?

The 45 days rule is only for the balance on package reservations to be paid off. With a room only reservation if you make a reservation by phone you can also pay the 1st night deposit right away, however if you don't want to then you have 7 days to pay it off. Finally if you make a reservation on the phone you will also have a confirmation e-mailed to you, plus if you are registered with the WDW website you can also see it on there.

This is how I've always done it or heard it to be, whether phone or online.

Booking policy - $200 at time of booking for package, for a room - 1st night's deposit.

Cancellation policy - 45 days for a package, 6 days for a room only.

Payment policy - at 45 days for a package, paid in full. Room only - pay balance upon arrival.
