We have a free dining package starting August 21. We plan to upgrade to an annual pass and would like it to last as long as possible. We don't plan to be at a park on August 21, so will use our ticket for the first time on August 22. Will the annual pass then go from August 22 to August 22 or does it follow the dates for the package we booked?

Thanks!

August 22nd. It doesn’t start until you use it in a park for the first time.

And, to be clear, your AP will be good starting on Aug. 22, 2018 and all the way though the end of the day on Aug. 22, 2019.

Just double check the date on AP when you get it.

A year and half ago we bought our DS tickets as a Christmas gift for a trip in May. When we got to the hotel we decided to upgrade their tickets to AP. Done. Next day, we are going to parks for the first time. Ds was told his tickets expire on Nov XX .....the day we originally bought the tickets. We got it fixed, but it took a phone call and two visits to front desk and speaking to two people at GS inside MK. What was very upsetting, was having several of those CM say "oh that's the way it's done now".

The likelihood of that situation happening has since been remedied (earlier this year.)
CMs no longer manually set the AP anniversary date.
